@wildgrass saidLet's do a little myth busting, shall we?
Yes. This is a policy that Republicans are against.
Republicans want the low earners to pay the same rate as the higher ones, and they want the wealthy to pay no taxes at all. It's asinine and undoubtedly causing the current debt crisis where Republicans are currently spending on debt at $1 billion an hour.
Share of total taxes: For the 2022 tax year, the top 10% of earners paid about 72% of all federal income taxes.
A separate analysis of 2021 data found the share to be even higher, at 76%.
and...
"...Republicans are currently spending on debt at $1 billion an hour."
PLEASE, wg, as it stands right now, the dems want to increase the spending by $$1.5Trillion.
and the repubs are saying... "go fish"
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidwhy do you disparage those working in these jobs?
No, no sir, stick to flipping those burgers. Know your station.
@wildgrass saidever wonder why dems dont change this when they are in power?

@Mott-The-Hoople saidLol they do. Clown show.
ever wonder why dems dont change this when they are in power?
@Earl-of-Trumps saidNo. Wrong myth. This is a misconception. High earners are not the wealthy. High earners from a tax standpoint are the ones who are bad at hiding their assets. They pay more taxes, but the wealthy do not. As trump once said, he doesn't pay taxes because he is smart.

Other myth, Dems want to increase spending? As opposed to what? You have a massive increase in spending under trump. Now. Dems want a solution for health care. Have you ever asked a republican what their actual plan is for replacing it?
@Earl-of-Trumps saidConcepts of a plan to replace Obamacare? It's been 15 years and the republicans are unable to even describe what that plan might look like.

Dems just want to fund what's there, you can't call it a spending increase.

The bottom 90% do not earn enough to contribute more than 28% of the taxes collected. Surely better income equity would mean the majority of the tax burden would not just be up to the 10%.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidNo sir, I am specifically disparaging you.

😂 poor pitiful fools
@wildgrass saidDoes a bz have a responsibility to support an employee ? You seem t imply that. Can you make for a simple conversation?
Yah it's not a handout for lazy unemployed leeches, it's a federal subsidy for business who refuse to pay their employees enough to eat food.

@Suzianne said? Flipping burgers is a choice. Find another job? More pay? Don't have more children than you can afford, maybe get some guys to share rent, go to work and work REALLY hard and you will get raises. Then more raises, get recognized, be stolen away by Burger King to be Manager!.....and then marry, share incomes and start a family.
You tell us.
Can you feed your family by flipping burgers?
I guess you think Donald's gonna come save you.
Whew.
Did you make a reference to Donald coming to save the employee??. You see, little feller, that is a reference to GOVERNMENT coming to save you. You have shown your cards. Govt. Shav is a government guy, too. Are you a dependent? Are you always looking to govt for answers? Nothing is the consitutition for all that, you are on your own. We call it 'self-reliant'. A beautiful phrase.

@Suzianne saidA guy flipping burgers has a family? I am just trying to get this straight. To answer your question...i always answer questions,.....one cannot feed a family on a burger flipper salary.

Your post, it you would cllck it up a few notches, would be more interesting if you would comment on a guy who has children with no prospect of succeeding in life. First things first?
@Earl-of-Trumps saidFeds should be taxing the wealthy not minimum wage earners but the Right keeps trying to impose flatter taxes that impact the lower income people more
shocking.
would you then think that the feds should stop taxing these low wage earners?
I mean, it's one thing to not pay them enough, but quite another to steal what is theirs, ya know, buddy?
@AverageJoe1 saidThis is why the USA is running out of young people and the population is dropping and getting older.
