Sounds like there is a load of scammers using this SNAP facility. They need to prove they are working or qualify and then they are on the system, no checks and verification therafter for 2 years or so. Plus the more children they have the more they receive. Lots of reports of women with 4 kids, no marriage, living off this system and not working. Work requirements for benefits like this is extremely silly. Why would a gainfully employed person need extra money to eat?

4 kids, single mom, and a full time job? That is a high ambition person, mate. We have lots of 29 year old men still living in their parents basement. They have trust funds with more passive income than a full time job. That's the low ambition demographic.

Huh? Income taxes are paid by people who earn money through a paycheck. Rich people either don't file a W-2 or claim so many deductions that they pay less income taxes as a percentage than the lower income brackets.

For example, Mark Zuckerberg's taxable "income" according to the IRS is $1 per year.

Or the don himself stating that he doesn't pay taxes because he's smart.

News Flash: The Trumpublicans shut down the government because they don't want the ACA subsidies to continue. Firing government employees, taking political opponents to court, refusing to spend money on programs which aid the poor, ALL these government money and power grabs are ALL about using that money to pay for tax cuts for the rich.
