The majority of those who debate in the RHP forums are mature, grown people. Generally, at least for me, the term "mature" implies restraint from the petty actions that have plagued these debate threads. Name-calling. Condescension. (Intentionally incorrect) paraphrasing. as much as the fact it is considered 'normal' that they do not, and
that says more about us as a people, what are we, or what have we
become. I have to ask for God's grace on my life daily and I try to
offer it to those here too if they ask for it or not, it is what it is in this
place our level of maturity will not rise above the level of those that
post here. If we as a people are not up to treating others as we would
like to be treated, we will in deed treat others as we have been
treated, think of that as a challenge if you will. I will now that I have
written this do my utmost to do on to others here as I would like to
be treated always, instead of the way I get treated, because I know I
do from time to time lash out as well making me no better.

It's very amusing the way try to turn differences in opinion into a kind of personal attack every time you can't make an intellectual point. "Oooh, at least I have a life away from this site, I do other very important things instead of posting on a chess site forum." It's getting really old, really quick.
Seriously, if you don't have anything to add, just refrain from posting that kind of pseudo personal attack, because you just look silly. A little Internet etiquette lesson for you there - free of charge.

I always try to be an honest, fair and 'good' person. This has come back to bite me in the ass, with you revealing things in the public forums I admitted to you in a personal message.

This is your problem. People are not 'attacking' you, their opinions and perceptions just differ from yours. YOU are the one who gets personal too quickly, trying to belittle anyone who doesn't agree with you and then threads turn into mud-slinging*. I'm not saying you're always the instigator, but you seem to like to get up people's noses here.

You made public something I said to you in a PRIVATE message. I wish sometimes you had posted everything I said to you, because then everybody who got up in arms about it would've seen how fair and honest I was.
