You aren't using words correctly, so it is difficult to understand what you're talking about. Oligarchs represent a corrupted government, by definition, so unless you support corruption then there are no good oligarchs.

I disagree. Y’all are so obsessed with Rich rich people that you find them automatically corrupt. Take that out of the equation, and you have people who have legally acquired money and are developing their businesses with that money. So pick one road to go down, the one that Oligarchs are illegal, nasty horrible people, or, businessmen who have taken advantage of everything they can to grow their business and create jobs. Why is this so difficult?
It is difficult because it is actually impossible for liberals to think rationally, logically and with common sense. The emotion is overwhelming.

There's no problem with a company making and profiting from women's golf clubs. That's capitalism.

When a company asks taxpayers to make the golf club while letting the company keep the profits, then we have problems.

Elon musk has done the latter for 10+ years now through govt subsidized EV and space exploration. Now he has an office in the West Wing where he wants to eliminate the same incentives he benefited from to squash his competitors. That's an oligarch. Technically legal, adds economic growth overall, but incredibly corrupt and unhealthy.

No one should ever defend the behavior of an oligarch. You should be ashamed.

Then, can you back up a few years for when this might have germinated with musk, and tell us the way that you wish it would have gone down? Keep in mind before you answer that his space program would have not even left the ground yet. So are we gonna turn him loose to go to Mars or restrict him with regulations?

You are aware I am sure that this is an age of pioneers. Would you have shackled Ford or Rockefeller? Pioneers? Trains, planes and automobiles? Whatever your reasons, and there has to be some since you have gotten in this deep, the question will remain… Why.?

Amazing. Cant believe this one. I could do analogies all day with this one.
Let’s say I have a big boat that I bought just for fun and it sits in dry dock , holds maybe 500 people. A bunch of pitiful wretches are fleeing Hitler, looking for a safe place in the Americas during the war.. I go down to the dock, pay some men to drop the boat into the water, and then pay another 20 men to take the boat to Europe and pick up these people. The boat goes to Charlston where they find a new life.and they all get off in the Americas.
About whom are accolades written in the morning papers? The owner does not even know how to start this boat.
