Joe I'm still trying to figure out from this thread what you think Trump's superior machismo would have accomplished here. It was pretty well established that the Taliban would take over, and obviously messy.
Is he riding into Kabul shirtless on a horse demanding the terrorists cede control, or else? And then they listen to him because why? Or are we saying that the Taliban taking over would mean Trump gives the order to reestablish a military presence in Afghanistan forever? Or are we just thinking that terrorists loved the Trump admin. so much they'd willingly share power with a corrupt, weak Afghan government that had no legitimacy or respect from Afghans?
Biden has a deal with the Taliban and Trump negotiated the deal. I proved that on my thread "US deal with the Taliban". Trump would have done the same thing because it was his idea. There is simply no political advantage for Trump to admit the truth. That is all.
What is trump saying about it? Is he criticizing Biden for doing the same thing he would have if he had won a second term? It was Trump's deal that Biden implemented.

Just so we are all up to speed, can you name the other countries who have tried so hard to help? I know the UK didn't show up, what with soccer (futball?) conflicts and all,, but who else was there?.

He would apprise the USA of his feelings, he would be internalizing his feel, his knowledge, of the Afghan situation and TELL US about it....how he had just a left a meeting, and this is what is going on. He would NOT have begun his meeting with talking about the infrastructure stuff. There are thousands of Americans in harms way, and he read a teleprompter and promptly left to take a nap. Trump worked all the time at the WH.

I have no military experience about what Trump 'would have accomplished', ask the many here who think they know all that. I can only talk about zero leadership and communication with USA citizens. Luckily he will be gone be gone soon, and Kamala cannot win in 2024, so we will be OK.
