wow, and that provides what kind of moral imperative?

I will ignore your irrational and unscientific assertion of Jewish mythology, there is nothing mythological about Biblical principles. Each family must decide what is good for them, certainly it is my view that parents have a responsibility to inculcate morality in their children through principles upon which their children can reason so as to act a ...[text shortened]... mony with those principles and make a sound evaluation.
you have a better suggestion perhaps?

I don't want my government endorsing what appears to be an unhealthy lifestyle. Government should have nothing to do with marriage and the President should not be calling up some NBA player congradulating him on being gay while cheating on his girlfriend the entire time.
As I have said, history shows that the more socially acceptable it is the more widespread it becomes.

especially if you make it taboo, it becomes even more exciting.

In a 2005 Kaiser Family Foundation study of US teenagers, 29% of teens reported feeling pressure to have sex, 33% of sexually active teens reported "being in a relationship where they felt things were moving too fast sexually", and 24% had "done something sexual they didn’t really want to do".[9] Several polls have indicated peer pressure as a factor in encouraging both girls and boys to have sex.[10][11] The increased sexual activity among adolescents is manifested in increased teenage pregnancies and an increase in sexually transmitted diseases.

It appears that peer pressure is a much more significant factor than being a hormonally charged teenager.
