@shavixmir saidJust another dude cheating in women's sports.
What do you mean there’s no such thing as a trans girl?
If that’s the case, what the hell’s this thread all aboot?
@no1marauder saidYou are exactly right. But what about my question….. it seems awfully simple to me.
Any competition has rules regarding who is qualified to be in the event. Unless those rules violate anti-discrimination laws (for e example "No Blacks allowed"😉, they should be followed.
Don’t tell me that I got ya!!!!
Really, it is just a yes or a no. Why make life so complicated? This is just a fun Forum.
@AverageJoe1 saidKinda makes you wonder what kind of affliction marauder has doesnt it?

@no1marauder saidYea the fundamental debate question with all the 100+ threads on trans athletes is "who sets the rules?"

It's kinda ironic that the so-called small government conservatives think the government should decide.
@no1marauder saidI thought Lia was born XY. Bring back Barr body tests?
She wasn't banned; she and every other female boxer will have to take some kind of sex ID test.
Hopefully it will be sophisticated enough to account for Swyer syndrome and similar conditions.
Conservatives think the question is simple but then they can't even answer the simple question either. Ted cru had to look it up in a dictionary, but that definition does not help governing sports bodies at all. What makes a woman, and who gets to decide that? Is it chromosomes? Hormones? Genitalia? The ability to become pregnant?
@Mott-The-Hoople saidHe has to say that anyone can enter. ( He mentions 1)rules2)qualified3)anti discrimination 4)blacks, which are quite irrelevant, are they not. My question is wide open.)

This is why I say that the competition could simply be at a park swimming pool, where children would not consider those parameters.
The bigger picture is that if he says anyone can enter, which he is trapped into doing, then it will negate everything he has ever said about tranees. . It would have all been superfluous, because his true position would have been that anyone can join anything no matter any qualifications.
Why didn’t he say that 4 months ago?
@wildgrass saidIt is a simple thing. you libs want to take advantage of birth defects and mental illness. Hope that helps

@AverageJoe1 saidLibs can never follow their logic to a satisfactory conclusion.

@Mott-The-Hoople saidWhat? Which is it? Define it, mott.

I like you would like it to be simple. Conservatives in Texas new law uses ability to reproduce as the guiding priniple which I think is super weird because they're talking about middle school aged kids.
@wildgrass saidlol...do we need to start with puberty? how far lost are you?

@Mott-The-Hoople saidThat's the Texas law not me. You don't seem capable of explaining why they define gender that way.

@wildgrass saidThomas was and transitioned. The rules allowed her to compete after completion of a period of treatments to reduce her testerone levels.

Kheif is not transgender (in fact being transgender is illegal in Algeria), her birth certificate says female and she was raised female. Maybe the right wingers here believe her parents concocted a brilliant scheme to give their baby boy a female birth certificate knowing that 20+ years later "he" could compete and win a gold medal in women's boxing, but that seems unlikely to me.
EDIT: Her last name is actually Khelif and she's been boxing in women's events since 2018.https://boxrec.com/en/box-am/899786
@no1marauder saidOh sorry I thought you were responding to my post about Lia Thomas.
Thomas was and transitioned. The rules allowed her to compete after completion of a period of treatments to reduce her testerone levels.

I agree.
