I did not realize that's what you were thinking. I don't know why any politician would do that. They are not public health officials or medical doctors or in any position to make the call on that. The laws enacted by state governments granted the authority to order mandates. That mandate needs to come from someone who knows that what they are doing benefits public safety. You think it is WAY OK to not vax even though now over 90% of new covid cases in the US are from the delta variant.
You care NOTHING for actual civic duty which is people doing all they can to limit deaths and wearing masks protects yourself but also others around you when you might have a non symptomatic version of covid and can spread the virus around the world in a million places and wearing a mask can mitigate that problem to a degree, there will be much less deaths if EVERYONE wore masks when out in public.
Oh wait, I forgot, individual freedom is MUCH more important than saving lives.
So you and all the OTHER trumpites will continue to say FREEDOM while at the same time KILLING their neighbors. BTW, this is NOT hyperbole. All you have to do is look at the ASSSHOLES in Mississippi thinking they are some kind of superman or some such rot and spouting, really PUKING, FREEDOM.
There was one case of a woman DYING of covid and one of her last words:

I am SAYING it is the fault of those IDIOTS in Mississippi who DIDN'T vax and now they are paying for it dearly with the entire state hospital system maxed out with covid DELTA.

If they vaxed they would have a leg up on delta since it has been shown the vax protects at least partially from delta, where if you are vaxed, you are some 90 % less likely to have to end up in hospital.

So you are saying the vaccines are not effective in preventing death.

If those who do not get the vaccine die because of it, it was their choice. It was their choice and sometimes freedom means death, even needless deaths. Look at all the people who died from taking NSAIDS., let alone alcohol abuse or smoking.
