"Life is hard. It’s harder when you’re stupid!"
This quote, sometimes attributed to John Wayne, first appeared in the 1971 novel “The Friends of Eddie Coyle” by George V. Higgins.
To all you (less than) brilliant folks want to turn this pandemic into your personal little political statement, I say go for it! It's unfortunate that many of you will get sick, and some will die. It's also unfortunate that you'll be the cause of others to do the same. Those that get their shots and mask up will stay far healthier, than those that don't. So, by all means exercise your God given red white and blue freedom to put your health at risk. Nature has a way of weeding out the old, the frail, and yes - - the stupid! 😏
@mchill saidYou really might want to separate anti-vax from anti-mask.

One is proven to save lives at rates well over 90% and the other has data very mixed as to whether it does anything.
It's like saying anti-murder/anti-jaywalking.
@eladar saidI still can't take my grown-up grizzly bear for a walk. Why are people so paranoid?
Tell me, what percent of people under 65 are killed by COVID once they get sick with covid?
Let me guess... you have no clue.
Your opinion is rooted in ignorance.
@wildgrass saidLet me guess, you do not know the answer to my question either.
I still can't take my grown-up grizzly bear for a walk. Why are people so paranoid?
But hey, who cares about facts when you have your opinion.
@wildgrass saidAs I said, you do not know the facts.
The answer to your question is... more people under 65 die from COVID than die from bears. Why is the government taking my freedom away?
Continue to blather on out of total ignorance.
@wildgrass saidYou are ignorant of the facts. This statement is factually accurate.
My statement was factually accurate.
Face it, you are reacting based on what you have been told to believe by the media and know nothing of the true numbers.
You have no clue about the probability of death for those younger than 65 who contract covid.
@eladar saidI'm sure you already have the answers in hand.
Tell me, what percent of people under 65 are killed by COVID once they get sick with covid?

Why don't you tell us.
And while you are at it, you can tell us how many people over 65 die from COVID.
Because those numbers matter too.
@eladar saidTalk about those over 65. They matter.
You are ignorant of the facts. This statement is factually accurate.
Face it, you are reacting based on what you have been told to believe by the media and know nothing of the true numbers.

I have been vaccinated twice and am sitting on a patio enjoying a beer.
I have a mask with me. The only reason being that there are enough dumbasses out there who have refused to be vaccinated because they want to protect their freedom.
Yet, there is my freedom to not wear a mask being compromised by these dumbasses.
At least the beer tastes nice.
@mghrn55 saidI do have a good estimate for that answer, but you do not base your opinion on fact just what you are told by your propaganda sources.
I'm sure you already have the answers in hand.
Why don't you tell us.
And while you are at it, you can tell us how many people over 65 die from COVID.

No need to inform you of the truth, I am fake news from your point of view. All that is needed to be known in this discussion is that I base my opinion on fact, you base yours on mainstream propaganda.
