Hegseth and everyone involved knew not to use unsecured private company chats for top secret communications. They did it anyway. It's deeply problematic and illustrates complete incompetence.

It's encouraging to see that the follow-up has expanded throughout the day, and the backlash continues to grow.
I have little hope for improvement under this administration. The level of incompetence and the lack of understanding regarding even the most basic aspects of diplomacy, macroeconomics, international politics, reputation, governance, monetary policy, and fundamental human decency are staggering.
However, I hope this will put Trump on the defensive for a while, preventing further harm to the US.

The era of relying on U.S. "protection" is over, and the credibility of the USSA has significantly diminished to a level of something you normally flush. And in case you didn't know Denmark has participated in U.S. military actions in Afghanistan and Iraq, but I'm fairly certain there won't be a next time.
If you haven't noticed, Europe stands united this time, along with the Commonwealth, Japan, China (sort of), and South America, all offering their support to Canada and Greenland. This time, the Germans are the good ones, while the USSA are the aggressors.
