Excellent observations
More government incentives for solar/wind power/wave power
Immediate, as is possible,
switch to bio-fuels and electric/hydrogen automobiles.
Move freight by rail, as much as possible.
(More) Government (incentives).
Sometimes I step back , I think, I can’t believe I converse with socialists. I’ve suggested this site to my coffee buddies, they ain’t thinkin’ about it.
Their observations of the role of govt would would not be too fun for you ninnies of the nannies.

Make the rich poorer. They use the most electricity and burn the most fossil fuels.
Start with a high capitol gains tax.
In effect, kick their ass! We don’t want their kind in our society! They can take their EV’s and 1 hr door delivery and go straight to hell! Further, I will tell my gChild to never work for a rich person, or a villainous corporation, and I will forbid him to make more money than he requires!!!!!!!!!

My solution is to pull the plug out of the internet.
That’s actually quite a good idea.

The internet is handy, it’s made the world smaller and it’s made communication easier.

However, the downsides probably outweigh the benefits.

If that makes things better eliminate all communication.
That makes as much sense as you do.

Are you saying to restrict the geniuses, like Musk, who will put a man on Mars, or like Bezos, who provides just about everything?
Ha! Musk is a genius at inheriting a fortune from Apartheid South Africa, and using it to buy companies other people built and claiming the glory for himself. Every idea he's had for himself is bunk. Remember the hyperloop? And putting a man on Mars... please... he's delivering cargo to Near Earth Orbit and had to buy yet another company to do that.

As for Bezos, he hasn't provided me with a single thing in his life, and from what I can see, most of what he does provide is the aforementioned cheap plastic (@!*# from China. Making Xi Jinping's cronies richer and richer over the backs of Western wage slaves, what a genius!

You are aware, that workers wages are rising, but not as fast as inflation. So all employers seem to be doing their job.
It is astounding that you can be so blind that you can think the second sentence follows on the first. Employers aren't paying their cattl... sorry, esteemed resources enough to make a living any more, therefore they're doing the right thing? For their stock holders, maybe. For the rest of the population, evidently not.

Next you will be talking like Bernie and saying we need to pay them enough money to pay for their living expenses and families.

Yes! What else, let them starve to death!?

You Are also aware, that any tax burden put on a corporation is simply transferred through to the consumers (the humans, the trans, whatever).

No, I am not, because that simply is no more true than your beloved trickle-down effect.

The corporations do not pay taxes.

And that needs to change. Radically.

Eat the billionaires.

Keep the real internet, pull the plug out of the Anti-Social Media and the megacorporations like Google and Facebook.

Use less electricity (surf the internet one hour per day, maximum, otherwise turn off your router and computer).
Personal computers - unless they're doing something stupid like mining Bitcoin - barely use a noticeable amount of energy. Better turn off your airco.

You could not be more wrong. Musk, Bezos and Zuckerberg added nothing to my ability to use the 'web, except the need to install an ad blocker and other security programs.

But it smacks of govt control, Remember when Nixon froze wages among all his other problems, and it had absolutely horrible effect?. Controlled by the government. Just great. Your comments here suggest a touch of Marxism. I thought you were a communist. Marauder May be the Marxist. You two could really smooth things out. Could we still be allowed to have Amazon? Would y ...[text shortened]... come up with even greater ideas in the future? Or are you, as you say above, going to restrict that?
People control Joe people free thinking citizens having the freedom and the right to organise their societies and economies for the betterment of all.
We were not born to be passive economic units, we are social animals and politics / government is the tool we use to organise our social space. Just as we evolved from feudal to capital based societies we now need to evolve into organic humanistic societies or we will end up with a choice between ‘Bladerunner’ and ‘1984’ and I don’t much fancy either.

If you libs get rid of them, what will be the source of the parasitic life which you continue to promote? Where is all the free stuff gonna come from? How will your universal income be funded? I think that is a fair question.

All you say is correct. I don't know what your point is. The sky is blue. Your point?

I would surmise, without researching the subject,
that the world wide web saves energy/carbon emissions,
in the long run....For every person playing games online, there are
probably many more who, need not travel to achieve their needs.
What of the World wide conferences and meetings....Dunno',
being ignorant on the subject, I would just imagine that a regular
PC uses no more power than a television....Anyone have info on this?

I think it isn't. In fact, I think it is historically uninformed, and globally ignorant; and both of those, intentionally so.
