I "suspect" she knows perfectly well that he is sexist and that message merely confirmed it. The prevalence of sexist attitudes in the legal profession is infamous and women lawyers get harassed a lot by men whose position and profession (lawyers) gives them a sense of being able to misbehave with impunity.

He knows his market. Let's face it, his opinions would not ruffle too many feathers on this forum. We could quickly list those who would object and those who would enjoy them. The question is only how big that market is. For the sake of a great many people and things, I hope it is not as big as the decent and thoughtful elements of the electorate there. [No whodey - not you] But the American electorate has let us down before.
Yes the comparison with Trump in that respect (lascivous remarks about his daughter) has been noted widely.
People like this do not have a filter on their mouth because they are in positions of power and beyond accountability. But that simply means that we hear what they are thinking and that is the problem this "friend" failed to acknowledge.

No reason for anyone other than these three parties, male or female, to get their knickers in a twist.
Quite simply, sexual harassment is so prevalent in the legal profession that someone has to have the courage to protest. Proudman has risked her career to make this protest and is earning not only the abuse of chauvenistic trolls like yourself but also a huge swell of support from women lawyers and others. What you fail to appreciate is how much courage this protest takes and also how vulnerable most women lawyers are if they make any fuss. Nobody can threaten senior lawyers - they operate with impunity. However, exposure of the truth is something that these men fear and if Proudman succeeds only in part, against all their bullying solidarity, then this will have a massive, beneficial impact for women in the legal profession. Reputation matters and these guys may be in trouble. Expect them to fight back.

That seems rather absurdly grandiose. Woman puts picture on business oriented website, contacts man for business purposes, he makes an inappropriate comment, she goes on a crusade.
Doubt the world will change that much.
EDIT: And to label this incident "sexual harassment" seems to trivialize real cases of sexual harassment on the job.

Please provide some proof of 'abuse'.
Or withdraw your remark.
Please provide some justification for the allegation of "categorical slander" explaining who you even imagine has been "categorically slandered" and perhaps a definition of your novel legalistic term.

Odd thing is that huge numbers of women have responded to this incident in a manner suggesting that what I wrote is not at all grandiose. It is you who is seeking to trivialise the matter and that of course is how harassment is defended.
