That is a good point. The money of the rich is a spit in the ocean. THAT is why I keep asking the dependents on this site why they are so obsessed with a few rich people. I bet they give the guy who won $1B lottery yesterday mortal hell!!!!
The money of the rich is a spit in the ocean.

Your comment is spit. The richest 1% own half the wealth of the world.

Would you tell your fans, 96% of which work for rich people, that you just said that "the rich folks might have thought they were investing but they were actually adding nothing to the economy."
No, they don't.

Small businesses employ 46% of the work force. https://www.oberlo.com/statistics/number-of-small-business-employees

15% are employed by governments. https://usafacts.org/annual-publications/2021/government-10-k/part-i/item-1-purpose-and-function-of-our-government-general/employees/

10% are self-employed. https://www.bls.gov/spotlight/2016/self-employment-in-the-united-states/home.htm#:~:text=Self-employment%20in%20the%20United%20States%201%2015%20million,higher%20than%20those%20for%20women%20...%20More%20items

That's cash, go back to your comics.

Not only that you think the Tesla billions are being hoarded as cash? Go back to your comics.

Constantly mis-defining and redefining.

Edit: Oh boy, I just realised, you think they do have cash stuffed under the mattress and filling their swimming pool and frolicing in it, literally Scrooge McDuck style, haha.

Relative to the classes of whom we speak, employees, they are rich. No one asks a poor person for a job, only the rich.
Sorry you burnt up your computer digging all that up, about monied people who hire lesser monied people.

I think these neophytes believe that all of the billions are liquid. Uhhhh, do they even get ‘liquid’? Makes them think of a Mountain Dew.

You're moving the goalposts; most employers are not "rich" by any standard definition.

@Wajoma
Wow, nobody knew THAT till you told us. Did you see Thou say they had that much cash? They can GET cash anytime they want it by selling off some stock. Of course they won't sell it ALL, they don't need 200 bil in cash since the stock is worth that, the world listens. That is what they are after, followers.

People who work at McDonalds would consider the franchisee rich, so, it is all relative.

Sonhouse, please get your grandchild to show you the 'quote' button so we will know what/whom you are responding to? I have no idea what the 'THAT' is that Wajoma had said.
I kicked someone off of a debate stage for doing that just one-too-many times!!

It's the second time recently I've been explaining something blatantly obvious and sunstroke has backed me up, with a great deal of sarcasm of course, as is his style, but the short of it, he's BACKED me up a COUPLE of times recently in recognising the flaws of goobermint intervention.

Some common ground at least, and I appreciate him saying so.

I am not much about sarcasm, considering the depth of posters, so always looking for straight understandable posts, myself. I still do not understand his post just above. I have a friend who never says anything serious, always tries to be funny, nothing but sarcasm and silly flippants. I mean, how would Sonhouse say.....about 75M people want Trump to be president. He just cannot handle facts. Why are libs so emotional?

Maybe an example will help.

Walmart makes billions in profit. Good for them. Their workers are also one of the largest corporate users of social service programs.

Walmarts profits are distributed to shareholders. Free market system and all that. But those profits are subsidized by average Joe and his tax contribution to pay for Walmart workers to eat food. They use some of their billions in profit to lobby the government for sweet heart deals on taxes and even more subsidies to increase their own profits and weigh down government even further. They are leeches.

And then those food stamps are used to buy food at Walmart.

Winning the lotto is different from what these folks are doing. They're robbing
