When there have been G7 meetings, there were protesters at the meeting site.

Same with G20 meetings.
Same with the Copenhagen Climate Conference.
Always someone there with a brick and molotov cocktails.
Agitators are everywhere.
Even celebrations of sporting championships. There have been enough of those in the US in the past.
And I recall some in Canada.
Montreal in 1993 after a Stanley Cup win (NHL Ice Hockey).
Same in Vancouver in 2010. Hockey again.
Agitators smashing windows and burning cars.
The point is that the peaceful protests, and celebrations, can and should be separated from the mayhem initiated by outsiders to the cause.
What was different about Charlottesville was that the "Blood and Soil" and the "Jews will not replace us" crowd was the gathering. There was no infiltration.
That was intended to create a violent response.
What did you think was going to happen ?
Black Lives Matter is a valid cause. And a major issue for America going forward.

However, we have two evidences you are overlooking here.,
1.) the mayhem broke out immediately after the shooting by police that took a life
of a black man. BLM has a chapter in Philadelphia and surely their presence was FIRST.
2.) The article articulates the group to be BLM, not outside agitators.
BLM people may or may not have good intentions. I suspect, of course, many do.
I once supported them, at first blush, because I assumed they were a group that
cared about black causes and lives. But that is only a veneer, as I have since learned.
