@Ghost-of-a-Duke said"a leader in a grey cardigan"
Are those qualities important to you in a president?
Speaking personally, I'd rather have a leader in a grey cardigan who doesn't start illegal wars and plunge the world into economic crisis. I'd rather a leader who didn't belittle and alienate it's long standing allies and destroy their own country's reputation on the world stage.
But hey, at least he makes you giggle.
Or a tan suit? 🙂

You went way out into left field with that post, I'll try to respond.
Your profile says Switzerland, which has a legal age of consent of 16 years old, which is younger than any girl that was in the Epstein Files, so why do you care about any of it?
Those girls would have been legal age for you and anyone else in your country.
Are you taking part in selective pedo attacks?
Second of all, the age of consent in Switzerland is not blanket 16. It is 16 only if the age differential is not greater than 3 years. Which rules out 60-year old pedos from having sex with 16-yr olds and getting away with it.

@shavixmir saidAmericans seem to be the only ones in the world who can't hack the metric system, so even before Trump they've been isolated.
What cracks me up is the pettiness of it all.
trump obviously thinks he’s making a grand gesture, but the rest of the world are laughing in his face. What a moron!
As if anybody in the world is actually adopting his changes! Yeah… google maybe… for Americans… it’s only going to isolate Americans abroad even more. I mean, most of them don’t know Dutch from Deutsch or h ...[text shortened]... alone if they’re the only people in the world calling something a totally different name.
Idiots.
As I've said in another thread, these kinds of name changes cost US taxpayers tens of millions of dollars a pop, and it will cost tens of millions more to undo the change a couple minutes after Trump is gone. It's a blatant example of "waste, fraud, and abuse," and all to assuage the enormous ego of one very small, constitutionally weak man who is incapable of mastering his emotions.
THIS IS MAGA IN A NUTSHELL. MAGA is Trump, and it's on a direct course for the dustbin of history.
And you're right, Trump seems to think this kind of name changing (much like his name calling) is some kind of grand gesture; a historical game-changer. But it's just making him a laughingstock.
And what's even funnier? The move to change the name of a lake appears to be pissing off more Americans than Canadians (who know the change is without substance and won't last). In particular it's pissing off voters in upstate New York—which leans Republican. So yes, Trump is "owning" his own base in places where the GOP can least afford it.

'Lake America'? Trump's Canada snub prompts backlash – from Americans
Rep. Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin, a Republican backed by Trump in his race for governor, broke with the president over the issue.
"I believe the Great Lakes are the Great Lakes and should stay Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Ontario," Tiffany said at a campaign event.
Republican Gov. of Vermont Phil Scott called the move "petty and disappointing."
Mike Olcott and Pat Vito of Greece, New York, near Lake Ontario, told the Democrat and Chronicle they were shocked by Trump's announcement and said there were more pressing issues for the president to deal with than changing the name of the body of water.
"We got crime problems and all kinds of things that we need to take care of," Vito said. "That body of water will always be there."
John Melder, also of Greece, said he laughed at the news: "He (Trump) did the same thing with the Gulf of Mexico and it's still the Gulf of Mexico, so this would still be Lake Ontario," Melder said. "I think people will do what I do and not take it seriously."

liar, try 13 liar boy.
@K-I-N-G saidLook in my left hand... a shiny!
Who cares?
It's a lake.
Other countries are constantly changing names of cities, towns and even their own countries and possibly lake renaming is in their too.
If people are sweating this, you should enroll in an anger management class or learn breathing exercises.
No, not my right hand, don't look at my right hand... you might see my war and my name in the Epstein files...

@Soothfast saidThe issue itself is trivial, but the pattern is anything but trivial. "When America sneezes, the world gets a cold," as the saying goes. Right now, America has a severe case of measles, literally and figuratively, and even if it does not prove fatal, deep scars have been left which will not be erased. Other countries will not trust America to stick to 'deals' or treaties for a very long time to come.

@moonbus saidDo you have children you raised, been married? If so would you want your daughter to turn 16 and start dating a 19 year old? Something would have to be wrong with someone like this, do you agree?
