Pretecting myself is part of my culture I guess. I hope if you went you'd take a body gaurd.
What if to protect yourself you had to be a sex slave whore? What if the local men insisted, and would hurt or kill you and your family if you do not obey? Would being a slave whore be part of your culture?

Bowing down to dangerous men is a bad principle to live by.

No.. I was being honest.. it frames their face which is the prettiest part of a women's body. Westerners frame their ass or tits and shake them... going, "look at me!.. look at me!"
Not the burkha. It covers the face.

That wouldn't be protecting myself now would it?

I don't see wearing a hajib as bowing down to a dangerous man I would think of it (had I the reason to go to an Islamic state) as making sure I wasn't seen as a target. Just as if I went clubbing ever again I wouldn't be wearing a belt for a skirt becasue it gives the wrong impression, sends out the wrong signal.

You've heard of the men who get shot in the head for not converting I presume?
I can't recall reading of a specific case, but I'm not surprised.

That reminds me of Bush causing the deaths of 200,000 Iraqis for not converting to happyjacks on every second corner.

Belt for skirt is illegal, though it shouldn't be. Scantily clad ladies do exist here. The signals they are sending are not 'wrong'. These women want to be sexy and to be looked at. That does not mean they are sending out signals to get raped. Unfortunately there is trash out there - like most Muslim, Armenian, Arab and African men I've heard discuss the issue - who don't live with honor and decency but think women deserve to be raped if they don't wear that ridiculous black sack over their heads.

I don't like those men and would hurt them if they messed with any sexy lady of my acquaintance without her consent.

Like I said, not surprised. I'm not even interested in checking it out. I assume it's true.

I wonder what the actual rape stats are in places like you mentioned as opposed to a western place like America.

Well maybe not kill but kick her out onto the streets in extreme cases. They do however hold virginity in high regard until marriage.

When I say 'belt' by the way I mean a really really short skirt.
