As far as I can tell that is how you spell it. Well done!

Actually, OP was really trying to ask ''Is the thing fine?'', but in addition to using the vernacular that got Cribs banned, (s)he's not being very clear.

What the hell are you guys talking about?

I imagine dating to be buying someone a drink and then taking her home and shagging our brains out.

I believe the answer you're looking for is:

Yes, dating is fine.

Don't worry about all those other comments requesting clarity or further detail. I'm sure if you'd wanted to make sense, you would have.

I put dates on all of my canned veggies. And peaches. Who would eat those evil things that turn brown after three years? Not me.

No, dating yourself lets everyone know how old you are, and you will become the victim of ageism.

After all that... 🙄

Well I'm not ashamed of my 411 (earth) years of life, if anyone wants to know, I'm happy to tell them...So far nobody has been "ageist" towards me 🙂

I think it is important to determine the date of some things (such as antiques). It also helps when one records the date of, or mark the date of certain priorities. Unless, of course, we are talking about "making ready" the oblong edible fruit of palm.😉

To make myself clear on dating. I meant, dating as in going out with a girl for lunch or so. When I was thirteen, I made a dacision to keep myself pure sexually till the day of marriage. A year and a half later, when I met Christ, I decided to remain absolutely pure, that means dating, kissing and courting is taboo, even holding of hands. It's not that I deprive myself of fun, but I believe that if you're dating a girl that's God did not mean to be your wife, you're messing with someone else's future spouse. Also you're giving of yourself what you could give to your wife later on. When I marry, I want to say to my wife you're the first one! Siversmith

Did you meet Christ whilst out to lunch?
Don't answer that 😉

But if you are just going out for lunch or whatever then so long as you are not "fooling around" then surely you are still pure.
Or does keeping yourself pure mean not interacting with members of the opposite sex at all? If so, how do you expect to find a compatible wife?

God calls us to be pure in body, mind and in spirit. When you go out with a girl or boy, can you truly say that your thoughts and actions are pure.
Just these past days I've had a lot of temptations concerning girls. Now there are several girls that are really nice and that one can't but like. But I control myself and ask God, 'Lord how would I know which one you have meant for me?' And all of them are christians, with christian families and very good virtues. But God know's the heart, and only He is able to make the right decision concerning that. So I leave it all up to God and in His time He will reveal to me who He wants to be my wife!

Seconded. If you want to get to know someone, interacting with them in a one-to-one context sounds like a good idea. You can call it a date or not, but if you don't kiss, touch or even flirt with the other person then I can't see how you've done anything 'impure', as you might go to a concert, restaurant or whatever with a friend you have no attraction to and behave in exactly the same way. The mental discipline not to even think of the other person in sexual terms (which you say is necessary to be pure in mind) is harder to achieve but I'm sure it's something you can work on.

I should hope that your God doesn't have an injunction against making friends with people of the opposite sex, or you'll end up marrying a complete stranger or no-one at all!
