Yes, Sadaqah. Islamic teachings encourage general acts of generosity and being a good neighbour to both Muslims and non-Muslims. This is common in the UK, so don't recognise the rarity factor you refer to.

As an atheist I put all religions in the same bucket. Religions hold us back as a species and I look forward to the day when they become irrelevant and obsolete.

That said, I still recognise some of the positive things religion can bring to society, and this includes both Christianity and Islam. I think you guys are too hung up on extremists and do an injustice to the vast majority of moderates who contribute in many ways to the communities they live in.

Anytime someone is putting all religions in the same bucket, that means they want to ignore or make excuses for the atrocities carried out by Islam.

Islam has encouraged the killing of Christians and other unbelievers all over the world. In Nigeria, Yemen, Sudan and DRC, Muslims have killed over 100,000 in the last 5 years and burned about 18,000 churches.

If you've never heard of the Islamic practice of female circumcision, which is mutilating the vulva and cutting away parts of it for no medical reason, then you are the idiot.
