As an atheist I put all religions in the same bucket. Religions hold us back as a species and I look forward to the day when they become irrelevant and obsolete.

That said, I still recognise some of the positive things religion can bring to society, and this includes both Christianity and Islam. I think you guys are too hung up on extremists and do an injustice to the vast majority of moderates who contribute in many ways to the communities they live in.

I just Googled Qatar's foreign aid expenditure and about 90% of it goes to Islamic nations, and there are 53 of them. In particular they focus on assisting those who persecute Christians, with Nigeria, Sudan and DRC getting large chunks of aid. I wonder why?

These rich Arab states also fund large universities in the UK, UK and Europe, and the intention is to encourage sizeable intakes of Muslim students into these countries. Again it makes you wonder.

Belief or faith in a religion, is not a requirement for spotting extremism in the writings of the Holy Books of any religion. All that is required is a sense of fairness and the willingness to speak the truth. Islam is evil because the writings of the Quran and the Haddiths support murder, rape and many forms of abuse especially of women and children. If you dont have the gumption to state this fact then it says something about your personality.
