Eric Weinstein had a great comment a while back. He said our society needs to give people like Musk a pass on our social criticisms that we normally give to people. He said that we need to identify the geniuses in our society and just excuse their faux pas and social awkwardness/politically incorrect comments and just let them create the things that will transform our society.

It's a great idea but too many of us are only focused on bringing everyone down to the lowest common denominator. We need people like him to advance our society...because, really who else is going to do it?
