You describe a police state or a gang infested neighborhood where citizens are intimidated to not to travel on streets for their own safety.
I saw the videos. What you described in your earlier post was a fabrication based on assumptions, not a description of what happened. Any reasonable person would have driven away from a masked thug trying to carjack you if they had a clear path.
People who try to escape the law and disobey clear police instructions, are risking death. This woman took a chance to escape and/or kill an ICE agent and it turned out badly for her.

- masked, unidentified person approaches her car.
- another masked, unidentified person tries to open the door of her car. At this point it looks like an attempted carjacking.
- driver panics and drives away. Both masked people stand next to car. No one was in any danger of being run over.
- a third masked unidentified ...[text shortened]... he driver.
By the way her car is not even blocking the road. Another vehicle easily drove around.
She drives into Something Other Than Street Traffic and acted strangely. Officials are on the watch for aberrant behavior, …..was she asking for attention? Not a smart lady.
People should be aware of their surroundings. Did she ask what was going on, or cuss him out?

Two thoughts as we grieve. Yes everyone has an opinion and I respect that. Everyone who watched the video will see what they want to see (including me) and I respect that too. Throughout this discussion lets remember this is not an abstract discussion on how to handle immigration. We are grieving here. We are very sad today. Angry yes, but mostly sad.
1. If this exact same thing happened 2 years ago everyone would be up in arms - not just half the population. People forget that many "liberals" don't like our politicians any more that we like "conservative" ones. You know how you can tell a politician is lying? Their lips are moving.
2. If you can look at that video and think the dead private citizen with a mom and a six year old who got up yesterday like any other day and was driving on Portland Avenue like we all have countless times is at fault here, perhaps you need to check your premises.

ICE has been abducting US citizens and holding them for weeks without trial or charges. I also would have tried to drive away in this situation.
