Well, I'm not going to taint his argument by bringing in mine. I'm sorry if rationality is too much for you.

Why the 1967 borders?
Cos it is what the Palestinians say is what they want.

Principle of self-determination.

I personally hate to see Palestine reduced to half her glory. If someone took my child from me, I wouldn't be satisfied to receive an arm and part of a torso.

I personally am not prepared to tell the Palestinians that I know better than them what conditions they should settle for.

Did you know that the Bolsheviks were a minority?

Just because somebody is in a minority doesn't mean that they can't be a people's party and that they can't come out victorious.

Now, what's your point?

My point is "I personally am not prepared to tell the Palestinians that I know better than them what conditions they should settle for."

While the diversion re the Bolsheviks was very, er, interesting, I was aware that pretty much every party has, at some point in their history, been in a minority.

So, diverting as that brief visit to the Bolsheviks was, it really doesn't alter my point.

No, you certainly are not. A Palestinian could see right through you.

Do you think it is acceptable for people from other parts of the world to tell the Palestinians what agreements they should/shouldn't agree to?

As a Palestinian organizer, I answer that question with a resounding no. So don't tell them what they should or shouldn't do -- leave that to us.

Leaving aside your credentials as a Palestinian organiser.....

The stated view of the Palestinians is that they want a settlement based around the 1967 borders.

People elsewhere should respect that.

Which bit of this are you having difficulty with?

According to who? Mohammed Dahlan and Khaled Mesha'al?
