democrats have been taken over by "hard core socialists"??!! you've got to be kidding... Hillary might as well be a Republican!!

democrats want to defeat America? Lock Step with al Queda, eh?

so...are there any soldiers who vote for democrats? any ex-soldiers in office who Are democrats?? (yes) and you'd better round them up, since they're only undermining the war effort, and working for al Queda.

it seems to me that you think that The Bush Admin=America, so any criticisms of this admin are obviously endorsements for al Queda... which is utterly absurd. (but if you can't see the absurdity, then...)

stop watching Fox. go outside, get some fresh air. your "democrats are Un American" poison is not good for you, or our country.

Yes, Democrats want the U.S. to be defeated.

Why try to pass a resolution condemning Turkey NOW? Congress already passed such resolutions in both the 1970s and 1980s to "condemn" the genocide of the Armenians.

The only reason the Dems tried to put this resolution through today would be to try to turn as much of Turkey against the U.S. as possible.

No other reason. Yes, Democrats want the U.S. to LOSE.

You have any evidence that elected Democrats want the U.S. to win?

4. "its allies"? you mean that ONE soldier from the Netherlands? Or that ONE guy from New Zealand? Oh yeah--those 80 Bulgarians really laid down some withering firepower at Basra.😛 {snicker-snicker} Do read up on YOUR history before you cross brains with a genius.

I hope you remember this famous historical quote by Jefferson Davis as he was led away in chains to the local jail.

there is no such thing as a "simple" question for bush, for him every question is hard

Seems to fit the bill just nicely.

When bush announced years ago he announced Mission accomplished, which was 100% correct. The country was taken an ...[text shortened]... enemies and kept them in it. Without the democrat assistance many soldiers may not have died.
The Democrats haven't "undermined" anything! They've given Mr. Bush every plug-nickle that he's asked for! It was Mr. Bush's idea to send the troops to Iraq in the first place (ON FALSE PRETENSES!), so he has the main responsibility for the soldiers' deaths. Anybody remember WMD's? The blood of every dead Iraqi and American in Iraq is on Mr. Bush's hands (with a lot of help from BOTH parties in Congress.)

The Democrats were elected because almost 3/4th of the American people are AGAINST the war!

FACT: When Gen. Petraeous was asked by a Senator if our continued involvement in Iraq would make America safer from terrorism, the General replied, "I don't know."

Mr. hambltnblue: Democrats want the same things for our country as Republicans: They want America to be safe and prosperous.

Congressman Charlie Rangel risked his life for his country in the Korean War, and he is against the war in Iraq. Did you risk YOUR life for America? And if you did, I bet you weren't kept out of WHITES ONLY restaurants when you came home, as was Rep. Rangel.

Stick to the issues, please. Stop impugning people's integrity and patriotism. I personally think that YOU are a true patriot who loves America. So am I.

I don't have a dog in this fight, so don't go "nucular"🙂 on me...but I read this and find it very amusing & others may enjoy this:

Poling shows Bush approval rating at 23% -

Same poling shows Democrats ""elected because almost 3/4th of the American people are AGAINST the war!"" approval rating at 11% - What happened in less than a year???

I believe what happened is simple: Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et.al. were revealed to be the pussies they are. AS the only real man in the Senate (Dennis Kucinich) said, they jad the power to stop the war in its tracks by simply refusing to allocate the $$ to pay the troops, period.

I completely agree! The Dems could have stopped funding the war five minutes after they were sworn in.

But what sort of Godless soulless party would reverse something already started knowing that in an incomplete state the long term effects will be much worse than any present pain. Why Dems hate Bush is that they know he has forced their hand into staying. They've stirred a hornets nest by starting the war. It would be irresponsible in the extreme to pull out cold turkey. The Dems also know that Bush knows that too, and is in a position to play them.

When was the last time the U.S. government (specifically in the past seven years) did anything worthy of "saying something good about"?

Edit -- It might allow for a more relevant debate to narrow this oh-so-massive field of noteworthy actions by the U.S. government to foreign policies only.

Lol. It astounds me how so many people view the war like they might very well view a game of chess. You've either won it or you've lost it...

The democrats simply want the Bush Admin. to accept the fact that we've done what we can do in Iraq and that we should pull out with the fragments of dignity that we can. They've tried passing bills left and right, but of course Bush vetoes them. If it takes drastic measures to bring soldiers home, wouldn't you do whatever was needed, too? After all, it's obvious how so many of us are willing to torture to "save soldiers' lives."
