Arguably Belarus is a puppet state of Russia to a fair degree.

Anyway, the chief problem for Putin is that the Russian military was never suited for subjugating a nation as large as Ukraine. It's rife with corruption and infighting, has never really modernized its combat tactics, and has been purged of most of its better officers. The Ukrainian military I suppose is ha ...[text shortened]... richest man alive.

The sooner Putin is replaced by an earnest, reform-minded leader, the better.
Couldn’t agree more with any of that but woe betide the Belorussian people if they rise up and depose that puppet regime because they will fall foul of certain posters sensitivities regarding what constitutes a legal government because according to Lukashenko, Putin and probably MB he is the democratically elected leader of Belorussia and therefore not to be deposed by his own people.

"the fascist Russian empire collapsed under its own weight like all empires do"

You said that Russia is not the USSR even though you called the USSR the Russian empire. Make up your mind. You are using the USSR and Russia interchangeably and now you are claiming a stark difference. Shame on you.
That happens when you’re trying to pin down an inveterate liar.
So make your statement clear was the USSR Russia in imperial mode or were the constituent nation states in a voluntary affiliation because either way Russia has no moral or legal claim on any of those states including Ukraine
So make your mind up.
I’m not confused or mendacious I’m simply trying respond to your ridiculous world view.

The USA is imperialist. Everything the USA is guilty of you falsely allege applies to Russia. The USA supports fascists in Ukraine so you falsely call socialists fascists. The USA is imperialist so you falsely call socialists imperialist. The USA has no moral or legal claim on the 1/3 of Syria the USA invaded and now occupies. Why don't you have a problem with that imperialism?

The USA is trying to escalate the war until Russia has finally had enough and attacks the USA. That is the plan. Isn't it obvious? Long range missiles are for attacking homeland Russia, not Russians in Ukraine. Escalation after escalation. It will work too. Russia has put nuclear warheads on hypersonic missiles and has them in submarines off the coast of the USA and UK.

Keep it up and you will get nuked. Keep escalating radiation man. Keep telling yourself Russia is bluffing and pretend nukes are useless. See what happens.

I want the USA to kill every fascist Russian scumbag in Syria too and hang Assad from a Damascus lamppost as a favour to the Syrian people and THEN get the hell out of their country.
I want all sorts of fun things but most of all I want Russia stopped in its tracks and pushed back to its borders so that Ukraine and the rest of the continent THAT I live in can be at peace and not threatened by a fascist Russian expansion.

So was trump what’s your point
If trump had gone full on Putin puppet I guess you don’t think the people of the US would have the right to depose him even if he turned armed militias, including violent criminals freed for the purpose, on demonstrators.
I guess your lockean natural rights are only for the use of the select few.
When did you become the arbiter of what othe ...[text shortened]... rutally invaded by a malignant neighbour and certainly without any permissions from yourself and MB.
The "People of Ukraine" did not depose their President; that is done by an election in a democratic state or by following Constitutional processes.

I have already showed you links proving that far from merely following Putin's commands, Ukraine's President engaged in extensive negotiations with both sides regarding the possibility of economic agreements. You are being as nutty as MB in classifying him as a mere Russian puppet. Again it was within his Constitutional powers to make what he considered the best deal with foreign nations on such matters and the EU deal came with both the undesirable consequences of enforced austerity measures and serious disruption of vital trade with Russia in retaliation. Reasonable minds can differ on what decision should have been made; it is simple BS propaganda to label a President of a sovereign nation a "puppet" merely because he makes decisions the West doesn't like.

The remedy was another election which the government and the three leading opposition parties had agreed to because of mediation efforts by EU foreign ministers. Unfortunately, the gunmen in the capital disagreed and took illegal action. The disgraceful support the West immediately gave this unconstitutional coup quickly poisoned the well.

From there flow all the consequences that followed including mass violations of the human rights of the Russian minority in Ukraine and the Russian invasion, a Crime against Peace. And further and more extensive violence as you so happily endorse, up to and including the use of nuclear arms, will not resolve these problems; only a negotiated peace will.

NATO is already at war with Russia. Many NATO members are arming Ukraine and Ukraine is not confining their bombing within their border. They have been bombing the Russian motherland with the USA's blessing.

https://www.globalresearch.ca/russische-invasion-wird-immer-wahrscheinlicher-general-warnt-vor-moglichem-russland-angriff-auf-deutschland/5806271

The long range missiles prove that the USA is trying to see what it can get away with. The more the war pigs get away with escalation they escalate some more to see if they can get away with more. The western war pigs think they will get another warning before they realize they went too far. That will be their mistake. They went too far a long time ago. Russia has simply exercised a great deal of restraint, probably because they needed to prepare for the next escalation.

Russia has had it. The western imperialist empire poked the bear too many times. One more poke is one too many. It will unleash the beast. Biden better halt shipment of those long range missiles. It will end very badly if he doesn't.

Then campaign for that but I would suggest that finally and irrevocably ridding Europe and Russia in particular of the Putin regime is the most obvious way of getting NATO out of Europe because unlike yourself I’m guessing the majority of europe would probably prefer an American military presence in their county than Russian one under Putin.

No you have done nothing of the sort, you’ve just posted subjective opinions on the the subject that support your pro Kremlin stance. The maidan started as a peaceful student led demonstration against Russian interference in their DEMOCRATICALLY arrived at decision to join the EU. The Kremlin knew only to well that the EU would never agree to joint agreement that open their markets to Russia without Russia satisfying its criteria for membership, which it would never do as it would mean the end of the Putin regimes grip on power. What Yanukovych brought back from the Kremlin was in effect a veto on EU membership and a continuation of its puppet status, chronic corruption and human rights abuses.

You make such claims regarding Zelensky and prior Ukrainian Presidents after 2014. They are ridiculous exaggerations. If anything, it is Zelensky who is leading the West down the path of escalation and possible outright war with Russia.

I'll find the articles AGAIN when I have time.

My stance isn't "pro-Russian" in anyway, shape or form. I do oppose mass escalation of the war which will just lead to more death, misery and destruction to both the Ukrainian and Russian People. The West should be pushing for negotiations, not complying with every demand for more sophisticated weapons from Zelensky. If that requires a politically unpopular face to face with Putin and Western leaders including Biden, so be it.

Realizing NATO’s war with Russia will likely end unfavorably, the US is test-driving an exit offer. But why should Moscow take indirect proposals seriously, especially on the eve of its new military advance and while it is in the winning seat?

https://thecradle.co/article-view/20878/a-panicked-empire-tries-to-make-russia-an-offer-it-cant-refuse

Ukraine is losing the war. Everybody wants the war to end except you because you are repeating outdated propaganda.
