If his approval rating is steadily going down, down, down how is that a surge ?
So, you reckon Kunsoo's stats were falsified in some way?

Wow. Who knew? What did they know? When did they know it?

You're the one quoting stats. And you're using the wrong kind of stats to refute the "surging" claim.
You are right. My mistake.
He is talking about a surge in the polls if he were to run today against a hypothetical "generic Republican"
😳

Good old "generic Republican". So easy to slander, and he can't fight back.

Yes.

"Beset by debt ceiling woes, President Obama has been trailing behind a hypothetical "generic Republican" in recent polls. But no longer! The latest from Gallup has him moving into a solid lead. According to the monthly survey, which was conducted from August 4 -7, Obama would win 45-39 against "the Republican party's candidate." The previous two polls from Gallup had the generic GOPer running strong with a 47-39 lead in July and 44-39 lead in June."

Meanwhile, you got a poll showing that his personal approval rating is going "down, down, down" right now.

Just goes to show that polls need to be handled at arms' length.

You DO have a Gallup poll showing that his personal approval rating is going "down, down, down" right now, right?

What rating do you claim he is going from and what rating is he going "down, down, down" to since the budget deal?

May 24th? You seem to be overlooking what the thread is about and the what & when of the "surging" that Kunsoo has been referring to.

Yeah, he's not popular by any stretch. But he is much less unpopular than the "generic Republican" or any of his rivals at this point.

I think the Republicans were hurt by the debt ceiling fight and subsequent S&P downgrade. Time will tell of course.

It's a sad state of affairs when all you have to do to win an election is to be less unpopular than the other guy.

The liberals have always been better at manipulating the simple-minded. Propaganda works. Nothing new here.
