green energy?

Debates

99 percent of these "green people" drive gasoline cars.
They use natural gas or oil for heating their house.
They use plastic products which can't be made without oil.

The list goes on and on.

They just want to sound virtuous without actually doing anything.

6000 products made from oil.

The term "wasteful green energy" is not only propaganda, it's also oxymoronic. The entire point of "green" energy is reduce waste:

https://tinyurl.com/EPA-Waste

The average passenger vehicle emits 4 metric tons of carbon dioxide each year. That's not only wasteful,, it's harmful.

Think about why you attack green energy. Is it because your Republican leaders do? ...[text shortened]... that aims the better the health of the planet, which in turns creates a better future for humanity.
"The average passenger vehicle emits 4 metric tons of carbon dioxide each year. That's not only wasteful,, it's harmful. "

Are you suggesting we stop driving automobiles?

Well said.
Even people who drive electric vehicles are using electricity that is mostly generated by burning fossil fuels. The green people usually talk about problems, not solutions.

Any solution they do talk about involves a tax. That increases the price. We are already paying a high price since Russia invaded Ukraine. Are people going to burn less petroleum fuel now? Maybe a little. I doubt it will change much. People still have to drive to work.

Gas prices are really high. Problem solved?

Invest in electric/solar powered cars

Electric cars are not the solution. Electricity is mostly generated by burning fossil fuels. Making those cars has a heavy carbon footprint too. Making the batteries alone is not very green if carbon is your concern.

Fake solution. You have not done the proper research.

He wants government to help him buy one.

@Contenchess
Nobody is suggesting stop drilling, just don't use fossil fuels for transport.

How are you going to transport without fossil fuels?
Please explain.

You quoted me as saying "solar", right? Is solar power generated using fossil fuel?
And you know wind turbines generate electricity, right?

You're too easy to refute.

How much electricity is produced by solar and wind?
