I myself do not approof blowing up the boats without reason. So, I guess it boils down to your definition of reason and President Trump‘s definition of reason. My basic premise is all is fair in love and war, and drugs is a war. Life isn’t perfect.

There is no law in the US enabling the death penalty without trial or evidence, or even with evidence and a trial. Besides nobody forces people to do drugs. People are killing themselves with drugs.

The Coast Guard does it that way and they have interdicted over TWO HUNDRED TONS per year.

Ever heard of "interdiction"?
They could capture every one of these vessels and confiscate these supposed "drugs".
Murder should not be the job of the US Navy. Bring them to trial with probable cause and due process.
