The elephant in the room is this: If say the US goes into depression or even 'just' recession. The rest of the world will follow.
Thank you. That's a fair point. (I imagine you might keep up with global economic news to a greater extent or in more detail than I do.)

Dump your stocks, Buy some gold
What if there's no gold to be had because President Goldfinger secretly privatized Fort Knox amidst all the chaos and misdirection, and transferred ownership to Trump Corp.? 😲

As Joni Ernst and others have said: "We're all going to die."

(with or without exclamation mark)

What 'others' will? This is a good thing?
Hey sonhooooouse, some unfinished business. Everyone is awaiting your response. Your son cop enters into a mob rioting. He is wearing a uniform, identifying him as law enforcement. Should he wear a mask so that his family will not become a target? Follow up question, why do the rioters need to see his face?

I firmly believe that if a poster slips away from a thread without answering pointed questions, make or break questions, that other posters can hunt him down on the forum!!!
Apologies for off-subject, but what is a man to do.......................

"Let's all mask up and shoot each other dead. AMERICA! BOOYAH!" [/sarcasm]

Joe, you're coming across as an overgrown teenage bully who never got taught a lesson.

If sonhouse does have a son who is a police officer, here are three things:

1) "Cop" is sometimes considered disrespectful slang.

2) It's against RHP community standards to make comments about or involving family members of RHP members.

3) As far as I know, police officers have not been masking up [unless of course when in riot gear and when there's a likelihood that pepper gas might be deployed (in which case, bring a tennis raquet) -- but otherwise, not]. It's the ICE agents (and fake ICE bubbas) who have been masking up out of fear of reprisal for their unlawful actions, and understandably yet cowardly so ("I was just following orders" -- sound familiar?).

However, I would agree that it would be incorrect for people to retaliate against the families of ICE agents, even to the extent of agreeing that to kill or maim an ICE agent -- while being unlawful or immoral in itself (although not necessarily unethical depending on circumstances and the particulars of the case) -- would also harm their family members.

For the sake of historical perspective and our general edification, what would Black's Law or the body of established US Constitutional law have to say about this, Joe?

Just keep going down that path so when our freedoms are gone, you will be forced to keep blaming the democrat de jure.

A lot of folks inadvertently hide their heads in the sand by not looking how the country is going.
EXACTLY like Trump who freaked out when jobs numbers are abysmal so he FIRED BLS Commissioner Erika McEntarfer whose job it is to tell the truth about the economy and jobs markets and such.
Who here gives a rats ass? I do for one.

Dear sonhouse, I also care, and I have also been thinking of leaving the country.

It seems Trump's game is to move fast, do whatever he wants, and rely on the lag time before any kind of legal response, and then to delay things further with appeals and other subterfuges.

It would be nice to think that his Cabinet members and other top appointees (and congressional lackeys, not to mention interestingly favorable members of our so-called justice system) are just biding their time until there are several solid cases with de minimis x10 that they can bring against him.

It's also nice to remember my scanty layman's exposure to chaos theory, and to think that this perhaps compulsive sower of chaos won't know what hit him when the S-curve suddenly flips. 😉

Just hope if and when this flip happens, the US survives.
