@wildgrass saidI don't quite see your point about where I got it (the internet)....it appears a legitimate source, and I did not read, I didn't care the whys and wherefores, just that we only grabbed 70 people incorrectly.............over FIVE years.. So, I'm showing this to people like Marauder and Shav, who want to flood our courts with illegal aliens which is a bit of a stretch.
Where did you get this link Joe?
The numbers are for the whole period of Trump's last presidency. 2016-2020.
Things have gotten worse since then, I imagine.
Shav tried to say they have a right to a court hearing. Hey, not if they have np 'papers'. A judge is looking at a total stranger and has to render judgement. Well, AvJoe says that we should put any of them on a plane that have no papers. If a guy shows up at LaGuardia with no passport (papers), they will turn his ass arouind.
There is not difference. I win another debate. They have no court rights.
@AverageJoe1 saidDo you have more recent data? There are dozens of anecdotal examples of wrongful arrest in the past 2 months.

@wildgrass saidI did just google and it is a labyrinth of info so I am going to play golf. So anyway the numbers are irrelevant, it could be 7000, i did not read the article. But in the scheme of thing, it is called collateral damage. We killed a few innocents in Hiroshima, but we had to drop the bomb, don't you see. So we are dropping a bomb. Why be so obstinate.? Do you WANT these unvetted uninvited people in our country? YOu never answered that. If they have no passsport, why should we give them a seat in a courtroom? I am just asking. Not exuding angst.

Obama was president all of 2015 and 2016. Under Obama 5 million people were deported.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidGood job Obama?

Trump screwed it up then.
@AverageJoe1 saidYour grasp on history is what will be your downfall Joe.
That is a logical way to convict and get rid of an illegal alilen. The problem comes when there are about 12 tk 20 million of them in our midst, most with without y'all call 'papers' over there. We have quite a melting pot, with browns, blacks, no papers, hoodies, packing, non-lingual, vagrants,....a lot of problems.
So, just the numbers, notwithstanding these pesk ...[text shortened]... y. Jesus, Shav.
Do you think you run a chance of being inadvertently arrested? how, pray tell?
Innocent until proven guilty. That is your law.
Best stick to it, eh! Don’t you think?
@shavixmir saidan American legal principle which we apply to all of our citizens.

You're not supposed to admit that the impetus behind Trump's deportation program is primarily racism, Joe. White nationalist fantasies like Replacement Theory aren't a good reason to summarily punish millions of people working, raising their families and generally contributing to the public good.
@AverageJoe1 saidYou need to read the Constitution for a change.

Immigrants now, talk show hosts, unfriendly newsreporting, unions?
Certain religions.
Where do you think this is really going?
@wildgrass saidOh so now that half that time was during Obama's administration, the 70 wrongful deportations are OK? Got it.
Good job Obama?
Trump screwed it up then.
@shavixmir saidI think,,,,,,when are THEY going, back to their countries, with their dam flags.

Aren't they an issue? Or do you want to defund ICE. A wide spectrum of discusion

@AverageJoe1 saidYeah, you might think that Joe.
I think,,,,,,when are THEY going, back to their countries, with their dam flags.
But what’s really going on?
People are being rounded up because of ethnicity and randomly deported.
Doesn’t that remind you of something?
If someone is working, paying taxes, abiding by the law, what’s it to you whether they have a signed document by some bureaucract who can hardly even spell, or not?
They’re productivr members of society?
They’re not taking anyone else’s job?
They’re paying their fair way?
Indeed, many US industries depend on this exact labour. Don’t they?
What’s it to you whether they are Scottish socialists, Dutch Calvinists, Mexican Catholics or Ethiopian Jews?
They are productive members of society.
Shouldn’t I be afforded the full scale of the law? Shouldn’t you?
Shouldn’t they?
What is worrying you so, that it makes you sound creepy and racist?
I’m sure you’ve just not thought it through yet.
