Socialists, some of whom are on this forum, want doom, so that the country will become rubble, that they can rebuild upon. All they have to do is promise, free stuff, which is sort of my mantra the day I joined this forum.
No liberal on this forum has ever exhibited self-reliance.
On another note, it seems those bunker buster bombs did not even penetrate the concrete walls of the bunker.
There has been work on the chemistry of concrete where normal concrete has a crack rating of some 4000 pounds, maybe per foot, not sure of the exact units but the newest version has fibers woven into the wet concrete and THAT concrete has a crack rating TEN TIMES higher and now it looks like those bunker bombs did NOT do their job. The Iran bunkers is built with several FEET of this new concrete.
So Trump lied again, NOT a total success.
BESIDES the fact the Iranians had DOZENS of trucks pulling out enriched uranium because they KNEW the attack was coming so even if the bunker bombs were totally successful like Trump said, the cat is out of the bag and onto secret storage facilities and good luck finding them. The assessment now by Intel is they were only set back by a few months.

The ceasefire got off to a bit of a rocky start, but it seems to have had a good last 24 hours.

Trump dropping an F bomb to yell at both sides to STOP IT was kind of genius, if you think about it. I've always thought of Trump as dimwitted, but he's played this situation like a grandmaster, so far.
Besides the F bomb, did you notice how much energy he spent calling out CNN as "scum" and "cowards" for reporting (what the intelligence community fed them) about the strikes not totally destroying the Iranian nuke program? And then a bit later in the day he flips his position to not wanting regime change?

I think Trump may have dropped those bunker busters not just to set back the nuke program, but also to remove the "Iran has nukes" lever that Israel and our intel agencies use to influence US foreign policy. Israel and the US Intel folks are attached at the hip. They want regime change in Iran and will be leaking out to CNN and WaPo that Iran still has nuke capability, trying to keep Trump in a box. Trump is busting out of the box. That's why he and Rubio are working the word "obliterated" into every sentence about the attack and talking it up as the most amazing military triumph in the history of ever. It's quite a game.

But now it seems those facilities like Fordow used 'Ultra high strength concrete' UHSC I think is the acronym and those bunker busters are said not to be able to penetrate THOSE concrete walls many feet thick.
The bombs CAN penetrate 25 FEET of conventional concrete but the new concrete Iran has been working on for years is TEN TIMES stronger to penetration.
So now it seems multiple runs may be needed to destroy those sites.
But the cat is already out the bag, Sat images shows DOZENS of trucks they were loading with enriched uranium, pulling the stuff out prior to the attack.
Trump waffled around too much, being totally incompetent at military tactics, tipping off his hand with prodding from Netan YAHOO, showing besides all that, Trump is a PUPPET, this time controlled by Naten YAHOO.

In the scheme of things, it is a game indeed. Trump sacrifices a Bishop, but gains a rook. Here again, like another poster here, you love to 2nd-guess why Trump says or does something.
Uhhhhh his strategy is working just fine. His book 10 years from now will outsell every general’s on their arts of negotiation, et al. His negotiating acumen has no equal. Watch him walk away from NATO after bringing them to heel.

I googled it.

"Yes, there are reports that Iran is using a new form of concrete, likely Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC), in its buried enrichment facilities like Fordow.
Here's why this is relevant:
Increased Strength: Iran is reportedly a leader in UHPC technology, and its advanced concrete advancements are believed to be significantly more resistant to standard bunker-buster bombs.
Challenge for Penetration: Standard bunker busters, like the GBU-57/B, are designed to penetrate a certain depth of high-strength concrete. The use of specially reinforced concrete in facilities like Fordow, buried deep within mountains, makes it much more difficult for these bombs to reach and destroy the underground facilities.
Potential Impact on Effectiveness: While the exact depth of the Fordow facility is estimated to be between 80-90 meters, the specially reinforced concrete could reduce the effective penetration depth of bombs like the GBU-57/B, which can penetrate about 25 feet of high-strength concrete. This suggests that multiple waves of attacks or specialized munitions may be necessary to potentially reach the enrichment facility.
It is important to note that:
Specifics are unclear: The exact combination of materials used in the concrete surrounding the facility is not publicly known.
Impact assessments are ongoing: Following recent strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, including Fordow, the extent of damage is still being assessed, and there are varying reports on the effectiveness of the attacks. Some reports suggest that while above-ground structures were damaged, the deeper, fortified areas may have largely survived.
IAEA Verification: The IAEA is seeking to resume inspections to verify the extent of the damage and the status of Iran's enriched uranium stockpiles. However, Iran's parliament has voted to suspend IAEA inspections. "

It's hysterical how liberals are now rooting with their tongues hanging out that Iran somehow managed to keep its nuke program on track.

And now Mark Rutte is sucking up to Trump and joking around with him.

This has got to be the worst day for Democrats since the election.

Interesting.

In spite of the fact that my opinion of Trump has jumped in the last few days, I still don't think he's quite that smart.

But hey, whatever works...

A real ceasefire and blockage of the Iranian nuclear weapons program would be best for all parties involved (including and especially Israel).

Doesn't make much sense; US intelligence agencies were saying that Iran had no nuclear weapons program but now you're complaining they're attached to the hip of the Israeli ones?

Trump absurdly exaggerating and then getting butthurt when the facts come out is his SOP.

The UN and CIA suggest they weren’t making nuclear bombs.
trump is the idiot that blew up the non-nuke agreement with Iran.

When is it going to sink in that you are being played?

According to Netanyahu and US right wingers, Iran's been "weeks away" from deploying a nuclear weapon for, oh, about 15 years.

EDIT: More like 30 years: https://www.aljazeera.com/gallery/2025/6/18/the-history-of-netanyahus-rhetoric-on-irans-nuclear-ambitions

Well yeah, but if they're telling us Iran had 60% enriched uranium, centrifuges etc buried in a fortified bunker under a mountain, and ICBMs, but were not pursuing nuclear weapons ... come on. Does that make sense?

Yeah. But what would you expect from such war-mongering countries?

I mean the US caused the FFing trouble in Persia in the first place (together with MI6) and they supported dictator Saddam Hussein in the war against Iran.

And Israel… the less said about those hypocritical bastards the better.
But they’ll abuse any old excuse, from the bible to the holocaust, to ethnically cleanse Palestine of anybody they deem “less worthy”.
And Iran is just another gear in the box of their fanatical hatred.

It really is the Hitler wed with the dumb arse Mussolini of our times. And guess which one is the dumb arse.
