I think to use negative emotional language to describe those you don't like but use off hand comments to describe those you do when both have done pretty much the the same thing suggests either an intentional or unintentional lack of objectivity.
I don't care if you love th US, Iran, both or none. I am merely pointing out that you do not treat them both with the same critical eye.
You point it out as something 'bad'. Should I be ashamed of that?
* I wonder if you've heard about comparing 'oranges' with 'apples'

With this in mind, I feel this thread is dishonest because you plainly don't think the action that Iran has taken is particularly bad but that Iran itself is (you do not speak of the US as badly for nearly doing the same thing). Given the inflammatory language in your post, you are therefore merely attempting to inspire emotion in others, like you, who are willing to have there opinions swayed by such things. This therefore, however unintentionally is merely a thread attempting to increase conflict.

We all have bias, Wheel.
PLUS, I aprecciate you feel compeled to act as the 'police of balanced
thinking' of this threads (I really do, it is a huge task)... but I refuse
to put myself under your authority, man. I apologize, really.
Regarding emotions... well, I admire cold, unbiased, balanced persons
like you, man... I simply can't do it. I am biased, I have preferences,
and my emotions (based upon my cultural, social, political,
professional, ethnic, and educational background) play a role in
my opinions and how I draw them.

unfortunately, very accurate (no irony intended).
Those charlatans who make horoscopes would be delighted with their
accuracy about my online personality.

In the typical liberal tactic, when facing difficult issues:
1) Insult you.
2) Change the subject.
3) Blame President Bush, regardless what it is.
I challange you to not respond to what I have written, and post something about Iran!!
The Soviet Squad has been circling around me like sharks! :'(

Originally posted by wedgehead2It's my new favorite word. Just about every debate seems to boil down to the U.S. in Iraq or potentially Iran. Since I am tired of the Iraq debate, I have decided to make everything about the Iranians. Or as I like to call them, the geraniums.
What's with the geraniums?
