That is a fact. Disarming Hamas, peace treaties with Hamas would
mean nothing. The Palestinians don't even Control Hamas, the
Iranians do, so there is not much point in a peace treaty is there?
Iran WILL NEVER get nuclear weapons, off the point here but Israel
will go it alone to stop that, they did in 81 and they will do it again
even if it means going to war over it. They have their backs up
against the med, a very tiny country where 300,000,000 arabs want
them dead. There will be no peace. Period.
BTW I am not even Jewish, my ancesters come from Ireland so
I know about oppression. I lived in Israel for three years, played a
lot of music with a lot of talented folks and had friends on the
Palestinian side so I know all about the abuses from both sides,
chief among them the Israeli's giving the Palestinians piss-poor
water, water that hardly grows crops, so don't think I am being
one sided. I know all about the inequities, but I also know how
the muslims treat orphans, their so-called godly leader Mohammed
claims god told him no orphans are to be allowed so boing,
a whole cultural sub-group is now like the untouchables in India.
I know of which I speak, my wife and I made a point to visit them
and to see how orphans are treated. After a childhood of nothing,
at the age of 18 they are just let go, no skills, no education,
no training, just bye and good luck. So don't say I think Israel is
all goody twoshoes or the Palestinians have a god given right to
what was barren desert, which they did nothing with for 2,000 years
and Israel built a pretty good civilization there. The Palastinians
could have done that 500 years ago but chose to wallow in the
misfortunes of thier bankrupt religion and did nothing but bow down
to god instead of making something out of the place.
Its clear there never will be peace till the last muslim and
the last Jew is dead.

I didn't say Iran is bad, Iran has the potential to be an incredibly

The Palestinian Authority would be under an obligation to make its best efforts to prevent attacks against Israel or any other country from its territory. This is the same obligation that any country has. No country is an insurer; the fact that 15 Saudis attacked the US on 9/11 does not mean that Saudi Arabia is responsible for the attack. You were born in Iran so you got your anti-Jewish set before you
even knew about it. For me, it was blacks, I SAW with my own two
eyes how racially predudiced was my father and later I realized my
own mom was much the same, like when I brought a girlfreind home,
she makes the comment 'ah, blue eyed blond, I always wanted
blue eyed blond grandkids'
I didn't realize what that meant at the time, but later I remembered
my sister married a Korean and so she was denied blue eyed blond
grandkids on that side of the family and now has two on my side
of the family, but she would blanch if she knew my wife has both
American Indian AND black blood in her past, so her blue eyed blond
grandkids are not as pure as she hoped.
So all I am saying is you get it from osmosis, its in your cultural set,
and will be all your life. Thats just the way things are.
I had to overcome a lot of bias to be able to have black friends,
believe me I know what I am talking about. This is an unconscience
thing, believe me, I am in no way saying you are going to become
the next martyr.

and I have friends in Israel, a lot of dear friends, one of whom just
died, a real polymath genius who wrote over 600 world class songs.

I actually do know a lot about what muslims think, I told you, I
lived in Jerusalem for three years, and I had dear friends on both
sides of the party. One friend, a Palestinian Oud player of national
renown, Abu Ganon, was suprised I was able to play an irish tune
on his Oud having never touched one before.
Ray always told us he knew we were straddling the fence and said
you can't stay that way forever. In the end we started seeing more
of the Palestinians side than the Iraeli side. We were particularly
disturbed at the condition of the water the Jewish side gave to the
palestinians, water that was in fact actually poison.
There have been some attempts by americans to alleviate this
problem, there was a 50 million dollar well project in the west bank
being done when we were there. There should be 5 BILLION in
water projects done, thats a big part of the whole dispute.
But since Hamas is not funded by the palestinians but by the Iranians,
there is not much hope for the palestinian authorities to control them.
And that means not much in the way of peace either.
Of course if Israel makes another strike against the nuke camps
that will set off, what, another hundred years of Intafada?
BTW, there is a big differance between extreme versions of Islam
and moderates, its too bad the moderates have yet to get a foothold
or much of one, in Iran.
And its also too bad the so-called christian right wing frothing at the
mouth idiots are winning so many converts here, that does worlds
for tolerance.
