Obama birthism was largely a fringe movement that had almost no traction in congress. The coup against Trump used the FBI and impeachment. There is no honest comparison between the magnitude of the two.

It is hardly a "fringe" movement, it has been endorsed by the U.S. president who has been one of the movement's most vocal advocates.
