Does simply not agreeing with someone's stance mean they hate? Does simply not agreeing enough with someone's stance as strongly as those abdicating it mean hate? From religious to political disagreements it gets personal fast, when did a different opinion become so personal so quickly, doesn't this stop us from even entertaining the possibility we could be wrong where we are on the issues if everyone on the other side is so, (put in your hate language here).

Hate is a legitimate human emotion. There are people and organisations that deserve to be hated. I believe people should deal with each other voluntarily, by consent, no doubt there are people right here at RHP that hate the idea and me for it.

Hi Kelly.

I have noticed for the last 3 years or so, that liberals have resorted to calling people who disagree with them, "racist".

That, of course, can give them the pseudo reason to publicly hate said person. My opinion

Disagreeing is not hate; denying gays from being treated equally under the law is. Trying to frame civil rights abuses as "simply not agreeing" is dishonest.

Whether hate is the motivation or not is beside the point. The issue is the initiation of force and threats of force. What laws deny gays from being treated equally in the US? You may have a point in various muslim countries. But again the motivation for the unequal laws may not be hate.

The Supreme Court ruled gays can be discriminated against for religious reasons.

But again the motivation for the unequal laws may not be hate.

What reason is there other than hate? Christian fundamentalists, who sadly dominate U.S. politics, believe gays are an "abomination" and that their god is right for sending them to hell to be tortured for all eternity.

How is that not hate?

SCOTUS ruled that people cannot be FORCED to violate their religious beliefs. Check the constitution, its right in there.

Maybe the confused sex people should not be trying to FORCE someone against their will.

Im sure there are plenty of nonreligious bakers out there.

We agree on something. Its hate. God hates sin and evil. God loves righteousness. Good Christians are supposed to do likewise. So you are correct. Christians hate homosexuality, and those who continue to practice it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If you think so then thats tough. If gays feel discriminated against, likewise, thats tough.

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. (Proverbs 8:13 KJV)

I dont know why Christian keep denying its hate. It is hate. Christians are just trying to sugarcoat the damn thing. Christians hate homosexuality. It is an abomination in the eyes of God.

No. That is not hate.

It’s a polarisation within society, which has been sped along by social media (a form of anonimity, which gives everyone a voice without too much repurcussion).

In real life, what generally achieves the best results in decision making is concensus or looking for common ground to create a platform for improvement.
What we see now, is that this tactic is quite often replaced with the ideology: if you don’t agree exactly with what I say, you must be wrong.

This, of course, is neither a healthy outlook in life (it’s rooted in fear) nor a productive method of negotiation (bad for making decisions).

It’s also the basis for the destruction of normal society. It’s what fascists and dictators use to create personality cults and scapegoats within a society.

Wrong:

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/crime-courts/faith-healing-parents-get-prison-sons-death-n33921

The parents went to prison for denying their child medicine or a trip to the doctor because of their "faith". That child died.

Their prison sentence was perfectly legal and didn't "violate" the constitution.
