EDIT: BTW, there WAS a path to create a peaceful Jewish State in the Middle East surrounded by peaceful neighbors. But abused Eastern Europeans could *NEVER* find that path - it simply was not open to them culturally. So the failure can be viewed as inevitable in that regard.

Western liberals may not believe that Iranian leaders threaten and over and over again to wipe out Israel, but we've seen this movie before. And this time, we're not underestimating those who would wipe us out.
For the rest of the thread, this is not about Obama or Trump or Biden or anyone else. Israel has been planning to take out Iranian nuclear capacity for 20 years when and if it got close. This day was coming sooner or later and there's probably nothing the US or anyone else can do, short of Iranian regime change (which is also probably impossible to force).
I don't know whether Israel will succeed in neutralizing Iran's nuclear program. But it has to try. Maybe one day the Islamists will fall and Iran and Israel can go back to living in peace, as they did under the Shah. But until then, neutralizing Iranian nuclear capability is the one sane course of action.
