In her segment on MSNBC Friday, Joy Reid had this to say about today's Republican Party:
“You can’t call yourself a pro-life party if your policy goals are to allow the maximum number of people to die of COVID, including children, by banning mask mandates in businesses and schools and raising doubts about vaccines,” she said.
“You can’t call yourself the pro-life, pro-family party if your policy goals are to put bounties on pregnant women and to force teenage girls to give birth after getting pregnant as a result of incest and rape,” Reid added.
“The Republican Party is a lot of things; anti-democracy, anti-voting, anti-history, anti-facts, deeply opposed to anti-racism. What they are not is pro-life," she concluded, saying it’s now “loudly and proudly the pro-death party.”
And boy, is she right.

I never advocate violence but if I were an American Woman or brother or father for that matter Mr Abbot would not get to sleep in his bed at night because I’d be outside his house shouting at the top of my voice.

The real driver of this is two-fold:
1 - the religious zealotry that believes that allowing abortion results in an increase in sexual promiscuity which is evil.
2 - a desire for a patriarchal society where females should be subservient to males.

Once these abortion bans start to take hold, there will have to a lot of changes in our society.
When a person can drive a car.
When a person can drink alcohol.
Age at which a person can get married.
Any of this stuff been thought out ?
If changes are coming, they have to happen "all in".
But it won't happen.
The overwhelming progress of humanity in all aspects will be too powerful for the traditionalists.

Why do you claim that women chose pregnancy when they choose to have sex?
Do men choose pregnancy when they have sex?
You act like contraception doesn't exist.
All you "pro-life" people should be out handing out contraception to everyone (that is if you really were pro-life and not just anti-women).
