Your friends, your not-so-secret cells in those countries???? They thought they could bring down America?
25 years ago, 9/11, the Dow was 10,000. Today it is 52,000. It will be 60k soon enough, even if we have to drag along you America-haters with us. And don't y'all reap a lot of that success? Where do you think your government checks come from?. You might want to leave well enough alone.

BTW, there are stocks that are guaranteed to take off when Iran is shut down. Uhhh, you know we will wrap this up.....riiiigght? Not putting them here, but you might want to look them up. The US stock market started history's greatest wave of wealth creation.

So it wasn't solely because of Trump?

Be careful, he might be listening.

And oh, by the way, how was this working for you in 1929? There was a Republican president then, too.

Huh? 1929?
My post is about America. Silly goose.

Do you think that Romania or the Netherlands or the UK or Canada will ever overtake us? It could happen. Hey did you hear about the 27 year-old who worked for only four months predicted that AI would kill us all?
Tell us you do not listen to a 27-year-old who worked only four months and predict such nonsense. You kids are just pitiful. You’re just all so pitiful. Chicken Little.

Just between you and me, I put a little secret message in one of our posts two days ago, a Buy suggestion, he bought, and granny tells me the market was up 500 today. He made money in his sleep, right after a nice night at the pub where he had successful dart games.
The boy says he is not getting off the train!

Are you saying the Repub Trump Admin has not put fire in the market?
And I am sure that you know he just acquired 65 billion bbl, which can run things for several hundred years. Look it up.
Start a thread that says at least Trump has done something good. It will gain you a lot of cred on the forum. Is it good Suzianne? You can do this.

Have you ever heard of a bubble?

Last time it was this bad was after Hoover took office in 1928.

Everyone, Susie implies that the economy is about to take a plunge, which is an element of the definition of a bubble. Like the dot com bubble. If Susie is selling, I am buying.!!!!

In the long term stocks did survive the Depression. I heard a story about some woman who ended up rich because she never sold her stocks after the crash. They eventually recovered.

You mean he stole that oil.

And you love him for it.

Pat Buchanan was the last semi-serious isolationist.

It's a bubble caused (in part) by the insane decision to keep interest rates at 0% for over a decade.
An increase of over 500% in stock prices whilst the 'real' economy has grown on average at 2%-3% a year is obviously a bubble, your understanding of economics is simplistic and naive...

You imply that 'the bubble', such as it is, is going to pop?
Maybe. When you sell all your stock to get ahead of that drop, and put your money in a savings account, I will be on the side lines , my money is IN my account, and I will buy all the stuff that you are selling. Boy, I sure hope the market turns around and maybe hits 60,000 in a couple of years!!! Sure hope so.

Sue calls it buying on the dip!!! Smart investor. She will say sell when in everyone is buying, and Buy when everyone else is Selling!!!!! Cool.

So, when are you going to pull the trigger, keep us posted. Are you gonna do it now before Iran is taken out of the global picture, or are you gonna wait until after Iran is taken out of the global picture.??
I know what Susan and I are gonna do..... or not do.
What's your plan?

Obviously I don't want it to burst as the fallout is likely to be chaotic - another bailout this time for tens of trillions?

I'm simply making an observation that the 'boom' you are celebrating is based upon 'air' (inflation) and not tangible economic growth, therefore it is dangerous...

Many an economist do not agree,,, but admittedly, some do. Over the last 100 years, the steady holding of stocks has paid off tremendously, so I go with historical data, and throw ina pinch of USA Elixir for a good sound git’er done recipe.
OK, try this. What stocks do good in a down economy? Buy those? Sure, if you think it is going down. If down, why did OKTA rise $14 today. I’ll take some off the table, get something else, and when OKTA dips, I’ll sniff it!!!!

Take this slant on things.… Some say AI is really bad, and they bet against it in the stock market, whatever you want define as bet against it.
I think AI is here for the rest of time, and so that is my bet. People will invest accordingly.

@AverageJoe1
Fair enough.

I'm certainly not denying that people have made money from this, what I am saying is that these profits are not coming from genuine economic activity but from inflation.

To take the most egregious example Tesla has a P/E ratio of over 300 (over 30 is dangerous!) this is a bubble plain and simple and one thing history teaches us is that (eventually) they burst...
