@AverageJoe1 saidSame here, and I would not be offended if he declined to answer. But I had a hunch he would answer. My purpose was not to insult him but to get him to think.
They do not answer questions.
But in fairenss, I am against all things Forum which call for personal facts. we discuss issues, not each other. Libs try to, which is creepy to say the least.
@Kilroy70 saidTHE BOXER WAS BORN FEMALE
"Both the same answer."
So after answering the first question, what would be the purpose of asking the second one? Doesn't that strike you as being redundant?
"You want to transition this poor boxer."
Baloney. You are so intent on telling people what they think you can't hear what they're saying. And if someone invites you to think you take it as an insult.
conservatives spent years telling us the answer to "what is a woman" is a simple "born with a vagina" and now they're bitching that a woman that was born with a vagina is actually a man cause she's too strong and good at boxing
It's come full circle as y'all try to tell us "just look, he's a man" as if you're truly trying to argue that gender is a social construct.
@wildgrass
Explain how it is a woman can have the XY chromosome combination.
In your opinion can a man have a double X (with no Y)?
@Kilroy70 saidIt is almost as if theres some nuances to gender?

I dunno man, you explain it to me. You come out of the gate in this thread with biology and science, so confident that women are defined by genetics. Conservatives in general seem to have flown too close to the sun with this women’s boxing outrage nonsense as they have now mainstreamed an example of a woman, born with a cervix (a female-specific organ) and allegedly a Y chromosome.
Good luck narrowly defining your way out of this one.
@Kilroy70 saidThere's no actual evidence that Khelif does have "the XY chromosome combination" (that has been publicly produced anyway) but I already linked to this:

And nature can be weird:
"A woman who discovered she had 95% male chromosomes has given birth to twins." https://news.sky.com/story/genetically-male-woman-gives-birth-to-twins-10372114
@wildgrass saidYou tipped your hand when you spoke of gender assignment. This is a woke term that entered our lexicon not too long ago, and has been instrumental in altering how some people think.

I don't know about you, maybe you were a blank slate and had no gender until someone, maybe a doctor or your parents, decided what you should be. Or maybe some guy with a clipboard walked into the maternity ward and said, "We have more than enough girls, so this one will be assigned as male."
I on the other hand became a biological male at the moment of conception. A very fast Olympic style swimmer containing the X and Y chromosomes was the first to reach the egg, edging out all of the other competitors in the race. My gender wasn't assigned. It was established a good 9 months before I was born.

I could take this a step further and claim there is no evidence Khelif actually exists. I've never seen him in person, and pictures of this aledged person could have been created using AI.
@Kilroy70 saidAll those big words and personal anecdotes (thank you) but you don't answer the question.

Gender assignment is not a woke term it is a fact. Birth certificates require it.

Sorry to say I do not foresee any meeting of the minds here.
@Kilroy70 saidI assume you're just being deliberately stupid now and have given up with your false "if a person has an XY chromosome they must be a male" shtick.

I was, of course, referring to the FACT that the IBA has refused to even state what test was supposedly given Khelif, much less reveal the specific details of it. That makes their assertions evidence free by their own choice.
I have noticed right wingers in the Trump era never admit error, so continuing to refer to Khelif as "him" is unsurprising if moronic stubbornness.
@AverageJoe1 saidJoe, how many times have I told you that, yes, I agree. It is an issue worth debating. Nearly the only one the right-wingers have about trans people.
Shav. How can I make the point more simple. IF you and I are in a high school, and we box, and an event comes up, should boys compete against girls?
Should boys compete against girls in a swim contest? I know Marauder in all his omnipotence will respond that it depends on what the school rules are, or what the entry requirements are, but it does not, because th ...[text shortened]... ts are not incorporated into this question.
You people do not answer questions. You are SHOuse.
And how many times do I need to tell you, that in comparison to Israel, the alt-right, the rise of fascism in Europe, global warming, etc. that it is VERY small potatoes.
All you do is whine about the subject or come up with unacceptable solutions; all based on your own framework, instead of the framework of those involved.
You need to get creative and think holistically on the issue. Stop whining and come up with a workable solution (that benefits all involved).
Until then, it’s a giant nothing-burger on a record player.
@AverageJoe1 saidI couldn’t care less. To me sports are just games. Nothing important. I don’t watch the olympics… it’s just not funny.
Shav says it is nothing for men to compete against women.
Someone ask him the question SHouse would not answer.
Would you approve, at a swim meet with your daughter or granddaughter, been competing with girls all her life and is going for her major win today, that the organizers of the meet allowed a man with big muscles and large hands and feet to compete against her? What a simple question. Why, goodness me, no mention of chromosomes.

she was pronounced female at the moment of birth, in Algeria (a country known for progressive views on trans, right?). No genetic test was done to determine gender AS WITH EVERY OTHER BIRTH EVERYWHERE (unless you pay for it)
She is a woman who has elevated levels of testosterone compared to other women. She fought other women and lost before. Now she won against one Italian boxer in the qualifiers who thought she was in over her head.
Have you imbeciles lost your god damn minds?
@Kilroy70 saidSperm cells contain an X chromosome OR a Y chromosome. The egg cell is always an X.
