Is there anyone who questions military costs and makes decisions to keep prices down? Are there any considerations on this? Whose job is it? Do you think there's a general that's like "well, I know that Lockheed Martin is charging us $7 million per missile, do you think we can use the $1 million missile for this job instead???"
Estimates are coming in that the US-Iran war is costing US taxpayers $2 billion a day. No elected official or Trump administration appointee can even tell you why. Compare that to Iran, who is fighting us with drones that cost $20,000 a piece, but it costs $3 million just to destroy it. Someone over there got the price of military down, but it ain't us and we never got the memo.
As Foxnews notes, the costs are "exponential".

The post that was quoted here has been removedYou're right it's dumb. 50% of the Pentagon budget goes to private industries, in many cases winning no bid contracts with no oversight.
The CEO of Lockheed martin makes $24 million a year.
His job? To secure military contract jobs from the government. Makes no sense.
@wildgrass saidTwo billion per day... in two weeks, $28,000,000,000. Imagine how many lazy illegal immigrants on welfare, Trump could have fed instead of starting this war. How many poor people could have had houses instead. What a waste. How about the slut with 5 kids with 5 different men, she should have been given a few hundred thousand $$ to continue her life without having to worry. Innercity blacks could have had a few more highrise apartments on which to paint their graffiti.

@Rajk999 saidMilitary doesn't do any of those things mate.

What choo talking about?
Waiting for the "lost a pallet of cash" stories to start coming out?
@wildgrass saidThe military-industrial complex.

Eisenhower was right.
@Rajk999 saidIn case you don't know the story, $40 billion in cash was dropped in the Iraq desert in 2006 and no one tracked it or cared. If you received a tip where to go, you could have been an instant billionaire, courtesy of us taxpayers.

The military budget in the US is so insanely bloated with waste and fraud that no one even cares or investigates when they "lose" tens of billions.
@wildgrass saidSame answer as always. The People.
What mechanism can stop it?
Fully half of them just need to find their balls first.
@wildgrass saidYeah, that reminds me of how stupid some of your other presidents were. Obama and the other weakling presidents tried to bribe these Islamic monsters. Trump is the opposite .. behave yourself or we will bomb the $$hitt out of you.

Go Trump. Finish the bastards.
@Rajk999 saidHuh? Every president does the same darn thing. By increasing their budget way beyond what was already vastly in excess of what they need, Trump has made things worse.

The military admits to wasting at least $150 billion every year and Trump's solution for that is to increase their budget by another $200-500 billion.
@wildgrass saidThis system has produced the strongest military in the world…yeah let’s change it said the liberal democrat
