I have been in lots of discussions on this site where people say negative things about say Catholics or Pastors who do wrong things .. maybe lie or cheat or have sex with children or focus on getting rich etc etc. Not once have I heard the excuse that there are other good churches... not once.

It is only when dealing with Islam, in the face of valid criticism, Muslims resort to ..
- there are moderates
- there are good countries who practice Islam
- there are 2 billion good Muslims

So let me see if I got this straight.

1) Because other people use an invalid debate tactic in relation to Christians (i.e. painting all Christians as radical), pointing to the existence of stable democracies with large, moderate Muslim populations is off-limits in any discussion you are party to.

2) Screeching that a European country with a population that's 2% Muslim is threatened with eventual Islamization and the establishment of Sharia law cannot be countered with an example of a European country (Albania) that's 46% Muslim, democratic, and secular.

I could also throw in that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a liberal democracy despite being 51% Muslim and afflicted by a grinding war only a generation ago.
