All at taxpayer expense.
Trump is paying for his out of his own pocket.
Plus he donates his pay to charity.
So there's that.

No, Trump is paying for it with bribe money from private donors. They'll certainly expect and surely receive something in return.

I don't recall Obama tearing down part of the White House and putting in an addition bigger than the present WH itself without any approval from Congress. Maybe I missed it.

Obama tore down part of it to make his own personal basketball court at taxpayer expense..

No, he didn't. He made an existing tennis court a bit bigger and added a couple of baskets and some lines so a full court game could be played.

State Dining Room Renovation (2012–2015):
One of the most significant projects under the Obama administration was the extensive refurbishment of the State Dining Room. The redesign included a new custom wool rug patterned after the ceiling’s intricate plaster design, elegant peacock-blue and ecru striped silk window drapes, and 34 handcrafted mahogany chairs inspired by early 19th-century styles. The result was a room that blended traditional design with modern craftsmanship, achieving a refined balance of history and elegance.

4 year project is not exactly what I call 'minor'.

You're comparing buying some rugs and chairs to demolishing the East Wing and building an "extension" that's larger than the existing White House?

let's see how long this takes and how much it costs

WOW, a basket ball court. SO much worse than tearing down the East wing and putting in a NINETY THOUSAND SQUARE FOOT MAR A LAGO STYLE BALLROOM. That way we can have a WH that is tuned to having dinners for billionaires.
There is no defense for this offensive use of POTUS power.
And OF COURSE you believe it 100% Trump would give those millions away.
You are SO pathetically naive and gullible. Where did you put your balls now that Trump has taken both of them. The most corrupt POTUS in US history and the best you can do is scream about a fking BASKETBALL COURT?

As a lib would say…prove it! You see all of you are like Sunhouse, you just speculate and guess and just state things as facts which are not. It waste a lot of space on the forum when I could be playing an extra nine holes of golf.

This one jumps right in comparing the extent of the renovations. So he thinks that Trump should have said we should not build a new ballroom for state dinners, to get away from the tents, because it would be too big, even though I would be paying for it myself. I don’t think Gerald Ford paid for the swimming pool. I also think that marauder is lying when he said bribes, it actually pisses me off. Sonhouse is so proud of you marauder, and you should be happy that you made him happy.
One would think that we should celebrate anniversary of the United States.with this free facility. The reason they don’t want to, is because they are looking for every complaint that they can come up with as they go down into the abyss. The woman who said they are using leverage, by starving the American people, to get their free healthcare for illegals, is a great example of the slime that you people are putting out. You actually have nothing. Note that when a leading Democrat was asked to explain why she would say that, I swear to Jesus, I don’t have a link, that he said the name Trump in his answer,so he is like all of you guys, just floundering.
Trump?

Yah, the money for these renovations were approved by Congress while Bush was in office. Mostly they were needed to improve security systems and HVAC work. It is (or.. was) a pretty old building.

Private and secret donations for funds to build Trump's house where the white house used to be seems like a bad idea. Do you even care who paid for it?

Lol the political donations are secret, boss. Otherwise we'd know exactly which foreign government is footing the bill for Trump's house renovation.

Don't you want to know who is building this for him?

More meaningless word salad. I am SO going to love to see you when Trump is impeached or resigns.
