So he thinks that Trump should have said we should not build a new ballroom for state dinners, to get away from the tents, because it would be too big, even though I would be paying for it myself. It's not "for free". It's being built with bribe money and you can bet those billionaires and big corporations expect to get their money's worth from those contributions out of taxpayer funds.

What makes you think Trump ever intends to leave the WH?

He thinks of it as some monument to himself. But the last thing we need is another monstrosity rich people can party in.

Maybe President AOC can turn it into a homeless shelter or a free clinic or something useful.
