Someone at age 80 with terminal cancer seeking right to end his life.

Maybe I'm just stirring the pot here.
But organized religion opposes assisted dying.
And for roughly same reason they oppose abortion.

I would say much of organized religion opposes assisted dying; not all. Same goes for abortion. I am a Christian who believes that abortion and assisted dying are totally acceptable to God in most cases. Unless there is NO good reason for it. Such as, the baby is currently totally healthy, formed, and viable for life outside the womb; or, someone is totally healthy but they just want to die anyway. There's nothing written in the Christian Bible against either with good cause. In fact, much is written in the Bible that throws these whole judgmental thoughts out the window by those who wish to be God in everyone else's life but their own. Just as Satan does.
Lets make it simple for the judgmental supposed Christian folks, if they, or their wives or daughters, were brutally raped; 99% of them would be the first to have an abortion or assist in it. If they or their kids or family were suffering greatly, 99% of them would be the first to ask to die. You see, it's always okay for them, but no one else. Especially, when they're not in that position; yet anyway.
