You can walk into any newsagent in the UK and buy a mag or newspaper with topless women in yet women breastfeeding is only okay as long as a towel is used to cover and it's tastefully done. LOL!!! If a child of mine wanted a feed my booby is coming out whether it offends you or not.

But what possible reason would someone - a woman, man, Flug Flugel from Dr. Seuss - have for becoming offended or disgusted by the sight of a woman breastfeeding?
Although you might also ask why some women feel uncomfortable doing it?
I certainly wouldn't condemn a woman who didn't feel comfortable breast feeding in public, but there are some who do.
Originally posted by WheelyI find mens huge white wobbly beer bellies and manboobs parading the street everytime we have a bit of sunshine offensive but I wouldn't complain or ask them to be banned. I find many things offensive but breastfeeding..pleeease. It's one of the most natural things in the world

Breast feeding sucks.
I'm delighted to see breasts in public but those poor women who have difficulty producing enough milk are put under intense pressure by healthcare professionals and trendy activists and made to feel really inadequate.
(P.S. in answer to a comment further back in this thread - of course a short skirt means "look at me!"😉😲

Let's examine that. Let's say, for example, you have a woman breastfeeding on the tube, right? Then, in the next car down, you've got a lad with a spiked mohawk and swastikas all over his jacket yelling "Kill the Jews".
Are the two actions morally equivalent? Because I don't think they are. I think common sense would tell somebody that an ordin ...[text shortened]... also tells one that it makes no sense to be offended by a woman breastfeeding in public.
However, the phrase "I'll do it whether it offends you or not" is not really a particularly enlightened way forward is it.

Originally posted by duckeggIn my 67 years I'm sure I've seen a 100+ women breastfeed in public. I don't ever recall seeing a woman do it in anything other than a modest, inoffensive manner.
