The state of conservatism in the USA is piss poor, that's right, and it has been sliding downhill for a while, since before Trump's ascendancy. Marjorie Taylor Greene is beyond even Sarah Palin for unabashed crass stupidity. What's dangerous about Trump's brand of politics is that crass stupidity lost its shame ("inject disinfectant"!); a generation ago, people that stupid wouldn't have dared to speak out.

I suggest conservatives in this forum read the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America. It clearly states that the government should "promote the general Welfare... to ourselves and our Posterity." Liberals want a fair playing ground not rule by the rich who become powerful by buying legislation that allows their corporations and the very wealthy to avoid taxes and abuse their employees. Liberals want to end practices by the private and public sectors that discriminate against non white people. Patriotism is actually defending the Constitution. Anyone supporting Trump and and his claims that he won the presidential election and/or supporting or minimizing the January 6, 2021 insurrection are traitors to the United States of America. Elected officials at every level of government who support the January 6 insurrection should be removed from office and not allowed to run for so much as dog catcher. I wish the DOJ would give every arrested insurrectionist the maximum sentence allowed under the law.

PREAMBLE
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Yes, the Jan 6 thing was a mess, but certainly you do not think ALL of the transgressions and crimes can be attributed ONLY to conservatives? You know that that is incorrect. You know that,, but you spout on.

But here is the big point. The Constitution, it says "..PROMOTE the General Welfare..." Promote. Like, I promote the players on the soft-ball team to play fair, knowing there may be some losers at the end of the day.
Promote does NOT mean to hit the balls for them and be sure they have an equal amount of runs, with a tie game at the end of the day. Jesus
Promote is that the govt would create and maintain an atmosphere wherein the citizens could interplay and exchange and be secure while they all go on about their business in their respective societies.
Please write back and tell me where I am wrong. If you think Promote means to "PROVIDE" sustenance or whatever to the citizens, please say so, but then explain it. Thankyou, Average Joe.
