Just a simple observation of a man in a capitalistic society who has stated that as part of his platform, that he thinks that the government should seize the means of production. There are many other of his ideas, like free buses and child care, etc, but what about his saying he thinks govt should seize the means of production. Actually, you are the most qualified to answer to tell us how it might work....or if it would possibly work.

Basically giving people a say in how things are run on the workfloor and office.
Generally making sure work rostars are proportional, safety measures are properly adhered to, better pay, etc.
A further step could be taking control of utilities, so that they are not run for profit, but to supply the population with the basics they need. Think in this of electricity, water and public transport.
And that’s it, basically.
Well, they could drop taxes on healthy food and kids clothes. Free toiletry requirements (like tampons). Or maybe set maximum prices on various products (like milk and eggs).
It’s nothing like the communist nightmare you envision. And yes, you can obviously debate the upsides and the downsides, but it’s not the bloody end of civilisation as you know it.
