@mott-the-hoople saidI think that what is idiotic is that there is a large portion of the US population that believes that the Dems are trying to turn the US into the next Cuba or Venezuela.
Its rather idiotic to nit pick a few words. Have you ever seen what daily life is like in cuba? That is what you advocate for…just too stupid to realize it.
But hey !! If you like the Kool-Aid, by all means have some more !!
I'm sure Trump will maintain a large base of support from Club Fed. š
The post that was quoted here has been removedExcuse me? You have never answered my direct question, though I am sure that somewhere in your myriad of tomes you probably have said 'China recognizes about 55 ethnic minorities". Yes, I googled demographics of China, and see all 55, like Liaoning, Hinan, Yunnan, etc. But nine out of ten Chinese people see themselves as all belonging to the same race. I guess if I walk downtown in China, I think that I, too, would see one race. All living in the same culture.
Here is a Wiki that 91.11% is han Chinese. 8.89% are minorities, meaning han Chinese (Chinese) are one thing, the 'minorities' are another. Yet, you have derided many posts of the USA over the years, that we do not like other cultures, or that we should be more multicultural !!!!!! Hilarious.
Of COURSE you are less racist, what is there to be racist about!?? Hilarious.
The moderators know full well that that 'slur' as you call it was standard conversation in the cabinet room of the United States of America, beginning with Truman's consistent use of it. I am within standard debate protocol to refer to them that way, when writing about them in that situation being faced at the time that we are writing about. Thereafter, I referred to them as Japanese, a great culture today, very respected. Just like it was our ancestors who had slaves, it was their ancestors who were horrific in war.
It is Ok that you describe me as racist, since you say the same about the majority of the posters in the Forum. Please settle down. And I hope that you dont get after us for not being multicultural anymore, when you stand at 8.89% non-Chinese. Hilarious.

Here's Wiki.
@no1marauder saidThanks for the kind words. I think you have your facts a bit skewed with your second sentence. You should look it all up and read to your heart's content (on a non-partisan news source), while we are moving on, and praying for the pitiful Cubans. Do you know that they are not allowed to even go fishing? And you don't see them frolic on a beach, they just sit and stare.
Well. it's good to see right wingers supporting protesters for a change.
Of course, protests here against those in government costumes killing unarmed civilians are "terrorism" that must be suppressed.
Oh, January 6 was the date that you need to google. Please, no posts about Jan 6. Have you heard what is going on in Cuba? How about Critical Race in our schools, causing our children to hate America?
@averagejoe1 saidWill "our children hate America" if they hear the truth? Hopefully not though loving or hating a country is pretty irrational.

You are, of course wrong about fishing; https://www.reuters.com/article/us-cuba-fishing/an-island-without-fish-cuba-aims-to-tackle-problem-with-law-overhaul-idUSKCN1VH15Y
And Cuba has plenty of nice beaches and I doubt if people there "sit and stare".
That said, it is a dictatorship and a violator of Natural Rights.
@no1marauder saidJust reporting what I saw, and what our guide told us. Not ONE person was in the water, and not ONE boat in the ocean. If I'm lying i'm dyin.

They stare. Sit on the wall. No gaiety did we see.
@averagejoe1 saidKš²h, I see our schism> I was in Havana and small towns around. No fishing. Yes, on the east end of the island, mainly a European vacation spot and selected USA visitors on fishing trips, yes there is fishing.

@averagejoe1 saidYes, you just don't want anyone else to have choices.
Do you like that Govt owned the means of production . Just curious. Did they make quality stuff? You know how we conservatives like really good stuff, and choices.
@suzianne saidI want everyone to have choices, it results in more money in the economy. I would not like my choices to be restricted . Your statement is curious. Why would any person want other persons to not have choices. Please send a solid answer that can be discussed, i’ll be glad to open a new thread for that one.
Yes, you just don't want anyone else to have choices.
@sh76 saidI believe that communism can never "truly" exist.
Have you ever considered the reasons why Communism has never "truly" existed?
Hint: It's something about the nature of Communism.
Though I suspect it is rather due to the nature of Man.
Capitalism is the best way forward, for all its flaws, as it harnesses the flaws of our humanity.
I call myself a social capitalist, in recognition of the shortcomings of raw capitalism.
