Absence of force? What does that mean? You're contradicting yourself again, the government needs to take your money by force to stop others taking your money by force.
I have never said that, if you could please prove me wrong that would be appreciated.

Otherwise, an apology?

...and if I find a Canadian opposed to socialized health care what does that prove.

Freedom is the absence of force.

You want to force your values on me.

Zahlanzi = anti-freedom.

Even you can follow that logic, now like an alcoholic or drug addict the first step is to admit it to yourself, above all else be honest to your ownself.
Let's see if I understand your reasoning in all this.

Paying taxes, to you is a sort of robbery committed by the state, where
you end up losing not only your money, but also some of your
freedom.

Is that about right? No taxes, and everyone will be happier?

"Never said anything about tanks."
indeed you didn't. because you do not think. either because you are incapable or it would have messed your argument. i could ask again, which would you rather pay for, tanks or health care?

the freedom you are babbling about is not absolute. absolute freedom means anarchy, the absence of any laws, any morality.

you live in a society which means some values are forced upon you. for the greater good. which means that you must pay money so that the janitor of your child's school or the construction worker can be taken care of when or if he gets sick. i know what you are gonna say, "if he wasn't capable of earning enough money, let him die like a dog" or "i deserve better health care because i make more money". and i understand where you are coming from and it is your right to be an insensitive bastard. and it is society's prerogative to force you to do the right thing even if you being a bastard might get in the way

society does have to take care of some issues, to provide for its citizens so that the citizens could in turn provide for society. among those issues are health care. medicine is no longer "just pray to jesus, if you make it, praise him". now you have an actual chance of surviving. but wait, in wajoma world there is more. you might make it if you have the money. which in some cases would mean you have a better chance praying to jesus.

Just so long as you realise and admit to yourself you are anti-freedom, for some reason you believe you are better at running other peoples lives then they are themselves.

This is the point I making here.

Your gall is monstrous.

why do i even bother. you don't even try to debate my points.

wajoma world basically boils down to "They may take our money to buy new tanks, but they will never take ... OUR ... FREEEEEEEDOOOOM to pay huge amounts of money for healthcare"

you are not making any points. you are incoherent. you are already being illogical. some taxes are good but some are bad. the fact that you can just walk into a hospital and ask for attention(and be given one without someone checking your bank account first) is bad. the fact that someone who loses money if you are treated is entrusted with your treatment is good.

thumbs up wajoma world!

I asked: do you think taxes is a bad idea over all, or are you against
specific taxes? And if so, what taxes are ok in your view?

I made my point.

I am the owner of my own life.

You have not countered that point with any qualification as to why you should be able to force your values on me or have any higher claim.

my sister had a knee operation she's fine but her physio treatment goes on and on, they just keep telling her to come back, or that department loses business and then they lose their budget.

The answer is so blindingly simple: All those that believe in "Free" healh care sign up for it, and leave the rest of us alone.

"We do apologise to all those people who have suffered from mistakes that have been made in Stafford Hospital, said Prime Minister Gordon Brown.”

“Receptionists with no medical training were left to assess patients arriving at hospital's emergency department.”

“Julie Bailey, whose 86-year-old mother Bella died in hospital, said she and other family members slept in a chair at her bedside for eight weeks because they were so concerned about poor care.”

"What we saw in those eight weeks will haunt us for the rest of our lives," said Ms. Bailey, "We saw patients drinking out of flower vases they were so thirsty.”

"There were patients wandering around the hospital and patients fighting.”

“Patients were screaming out in pain because you could not get pain relief.”

"It was like a Third World country hospital. It was an absolute disgrace."

The British premier said there were [i]"no excuses"
for what happened to patients at hospital.

Health Secretary Alan Johnson said: "I apologise on behalf of the government and the NHS, for the pain and anguish caused to so many patients and their families by the appalling standards of care.”

The obvious point being, let all those that believe in free die while you wait health care sign up for it, and leave the rest of us alone to assess our own priorities.

But that doesn't work.
