The Myth of the USA as 'The Land of Opportunity'

Note that Duchess does not consider China an affluent country.

Apparently, the Chinese Communist Party is incapable of providing the average citizen with a standard of living like one could enjoy in the USA.

It is probably even the case taht the average Chinese person does not enjoy a lifestyle similar to that of a Polish or Bulgarian person.

Maybe the Chinese should consider throwing off Communism, like the Poles and Bulgars, and then they will be able to enjoy a higher level of prosperity, and definitely a greater level of liberty.

I don't know about China's affluence; but there's plenty of effluence.
