North Korea isn't "leftist". If it was left-wing, it would prioritize the citizens rather than the state. Left-wing systems believe in the expansion of government *for the benefit* of the people.

North Korea is the other way around; they hail Kim as a god-like figure and it is the duty of the citizens to serve him, and the state. That makes NK fascist, and as a result, right-wing.
